There usually is no standalone AMD Bluetooth driver for a Ryzen Windows 11 PC: Bluetooth is normally handled by a separate wireless module from Intel, MediaTek, Realtek, or Qualcomm. Identify the actual radio in Device Manager, then get its driver from your PC, motherboard, or adapter manufacturer. AMD chipset and Radeon software are not substitutes for that radio’s driver.
Identify the Bluetooth adapter in Windows 11
- Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Find the entry naming the physical radio, such as Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R), Realtek Bluetooth Adapter, MediaTek Bluetooth, or Qualcomm Bluetooth.
Do not mistake these entries for the adapter: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator, or Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI). They are Windows protocol and enumerator components, not the physical radio.
If Bluetooth is not listed, expand Other devices and look for an Unknown device or a device with a warning icon. Windows may have detected the radio without a suitable driver.
Check the hardware ID
- Right-click the suspected device and select Properties.
- Open the Details tab.
- Set Property to Hardware Ids.
- Use the displayed ID to verify the driver on the PC or motherboard manufacturer’s support page.
A driver for the wrong wireless module may fail to install or leave Bluetooth unusable.

Download the correct Windows 11 Bluetooth driver
Laptop or all-in-one PC
Go to the manufacturer’s support website and search by the exact model or serial number. Download the Windows 11 Bluetooth driver, or wireless package that includes Bluetooth, for the radio installed in the system. OEM drivers are preferable because they are tested for the computer’s firmware and system-specific features.
An AMD-powered laptop can still use a MediaTek, Intel, Realtek, or Qualcomm Bluetooth module. For example, Lenovo offers a separate RZ616 Bluetooth driver for Windows 11; RZ616 is a MediaTek wireless module, not an AMD Bluetooth device.
Desktop motherboard
Use the motherboard manufacturer’s support page. Search for the exact board model and look under Drivers, Wireless, or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth.
Many AMD motherboards use a separate wireless module, often installed in an M.2 Key-E slot. The AMD chipset driver does not replace that module’s Bluetooth driver. A non-Wi-Fi motherboard may have no Bluetooth hardware.

Also check that the device is enabled and that wireless hardware is enabled in firmware or by the laptop’s wireless switch or function key.
Install an INF driver manually
If the extracted folder contains .inf and .sys files but no setup program, install it through Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth, or Other devices if the adapter is unidentified.
- Right-click the physical Bluetooth adapter or unknown device and select Update driver.
- Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
- Select Browse and choose the folder containing the driver files.
- Select OK, then Next.
- Select Close after installation and restart the PC.
Install an INF with PnPUtil
Administrators can install an extracted driver using Windows Terminal, Command Prompt, or PowerShell opened as administrator. For a single INF file, run: pnputil /add-driver “C:\Path\To\Driver\driver.inf” /install.
To search a folder and its subfolders for INF files, run: pnputil /add-driver “C:\Path\To\Driver\*.inf” /subdirs /install. The /install option installs or updates a matching device; /subdirs includes subfolders. PnPUtil will not force a lower-ranked driver onto a device when Windows has a higher-ranked match.

Do you need the AMD chipset driver?
Install the AMD chipset package when you need AMD platform drivers, but do not expect it to install the Bluetooth radio driver. The package includes components such as AMD PCI, I²C, UART, GPIO, PSP, SMBus, power management, USB4, and AMD Wireless Button drivers—not the Intel, MediaTek, Realtek, or Qualcomm Bluetooth driver used by the system.
AMD’s driver auto-detection tool is intended to detect and update AMD Radeon graphics and Ryzen chipset drivers. AMD Adrenalin is Radeon graphics software, not a Bluetooth driver package.
Confirm that Bluetooth is working
Open Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices. A Bluetooth switch should be present. If it is missing, Windows may not have detected Bluetooth hardware or may not have a usable driver.
You can also check Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices > More Bluetooth settings. If More Bluetooth settings is absent, the adapter or its driver may still be missing.
To pair an accessory:
- Turn on the accessory and place it in pairing mode.
- Open Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
- Select Add device, then choose Bluetooth.
- Select the accessory and choose Done when pairing finishes.
