Spoiler warning: This guide discusses ending names and unlock routes, but not detailed ending scenes. Silent Hill: Townfall has three main endings available on a first playthrough, according to its developers; a secret ending unlocks after you clear the game. Post-launch guides identify five endings in total: Justice, Forever, Abandoned, Dog, and Sci-fi. The developers confirm that your actions across the run—not one final binary choice—determine the main ending.
How many endings does Silent Hill: Townfall have?
There are three main endings that can be reached on a first playthrough. Konami producer Motoi Okamoto confirmed that structure in a PlayStation.Blog interview published July 30, 2026, which also says a secret ending becomes available after completing the game.
Post-launch guides name five endings: Justice, Forever, Abandoned, Dog, and Sci-fi. They identify Justice, Forever, and Abandoned as the main first-run endings, and Dog and Sci-fi as New Game+ endings. The official interview does not list the ending names or describe their scenes, so the five-name list and route details come from guides rather than the developer.
How does the game decide which main ending you get?
Screen Burn Interactive writer and director Jon McKellan explained that the ending is based on accumulated actions, not a single decision at the finale: “The endings in Silent Hill: Townfall aren’t determined by a simple binary choice at the end. Instead, the culmination of the player’s actions throughout their playthrough dictates which ending they reach.”
#1 Best Overall
- Experienced entirely in first person, explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.
- SILENT HILL: Townfall is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland, 1996
Guides describe a hidden score that tracks discoveries, kills, resource use, and certain character-related mistakes. The developers have not confirmed the formula, however, and a simplified guide’s kills-versus-discoveries rules conflict with the more detailed point-based account. Treat exact score thresholds as community-reported guidance, not a guaranteed recipe.
How to get Justice, Forever, or Abandoned
Silent Hill Memories reports these score bands for the three main endings. It is a guide-derived calculation, not an officially published game formula:
Rank #2
- Day One Edition Bonus: CRTV Style: Rusted, CRTV Style: Beach Edition
- Returning to an island town to ‘put things right’, Simon Ordell descends into a world of tense evasion, explosive confrontations, and mind-bending puzzles that slowly surface the truth of St. Amelia
- Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right’, encountering a town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest
- Venturing deeper, and driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface
- Experienced entirely in first person, Simon must explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including the CRTV, a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged
| Ending | Reported score | Reported score factors |
|---|---|---|
| Abandoned | Below 0 | Lower score; the guide reports deductions for qualifying kills, cannula refills, and specified Zoe mistakes. |
| Forever | 0–19 | Middle score band. |
| Justice | 20 or higher | Higher score; Clue and Document discoveries contribute positively in the reported formula. |
According to Silent Hill Memories’ ending guide, each Clue or Document discovery is worth +1, qualifying Simon kills are -2, each cannula refill is -4, and specified Zoe mistakes are -3. The guide says there is no in-game tracker for this score. It also warns that visible end statistics combine character kills in a way that does not reveal the hidden total cleanly.
Townfall Guide offers a simpler comparison of discoveries and kills, but its thresholds conflict with that point breakdown. Because neither account is developer-confirmed, use the detailed factors as a cautious guide rather than assuming a precise outcome. If you are trying to target a particular ending, keep a save before the final stretch so you can retry without replaying the entire game.

Rank #3
- Day One Edition Bonus: CRTV Style: Rusted, CRTV Style: Beach Edition
- When Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to "put things in order", he meets a city lying quietly in dense fog, seemingly abandoned, yet anything but dormant
- After venturing further to understand his connection to this place and its inhabitants, he gradually discovers fragments of the past rising to the surface
- Simon must explore, evade and survive from a first-person perspective. It uses a limited arsenal of weapons and tools, including the CRTV: a portable TV to receive unstable signals
- The dodging is tension, the battles are hectic and the story-based puzzles reveal a truth that does not want to remain hidden
How to unlock the Dog ending
Post-launch guides report that Dog is a New Game+ ending reached through a specific item route. Townfall Guide says to deposit three coins in dog-shaped banks; the route overrides the ordinary ending. This unlock detail is guide-reported, not confirmed in the developers’ interview.
How to unlock the Sci-fi ending
PowerPyx identifies Sci-fi as a New Game+ route that branches earlier than the standard finale and skips the final boss. The available guide evidence here does not establish a complete, reliable step-by-step item sequence, so an exact recipe cannot be stated confidently.

Do you need to collect everything for Justice?
No official requirement to collect every clue or document has been published in the cited developer interview. A guide reports 85 total Clues and Documents, called “Discoveries,” and treats discoveries as positive inputs to its hidden-score model. That count and its effect are guide findings, not developer-confirmed requirements for Justice.

The confirmed information establishes how the ending structure works, but it does not establish the precise events or canonical thematic meaning of each ending. Avoid treating fan interpretations as settled story canon unless they are supported by the scenes themselves.

For context, Tom’s Guide describes Simon Ordell arriving in the fictional Scottish town of St. Amelia, where clues point to a forgotten connection to the place and to residents Zoe and Richard. Simon’s portable CRTV helps detect enemies, receive signals, and solve puzzles. That setup explains why choices and actions across a run can shape its outcome, but it does not prove what any particular ending means.
