AION 2’s publisher, NC, says the game surpassed 400,000 peak concurrent users when global official service began on October 5, 2026. The figure is a launch-wide claim: NC named both Steam and its PURPLE launcher, but did not say how many users came from either platform. It therefore does not establish a new Steam-only peak.
What NC’s 400,000 figure means
In an October 6, 2026 release, NC said AION 2 exceeded 400,000 peak concurrent users at the start of official global service. The same release says the PC game launched globally through Steam and PURPLE, without providing a platform-by-platform count. The figure should be attributed to NC and described as a launch concurrency claim, not as a verified Steam-only record. NC’s launch announcement
A separate October 5 post from the AION 2 Team on Steam Community thanked players for reaching “400,000 active users.” That notice uses different wording from NC’s “peak concurrent users” figure. Neither source explains whether the metrics were measured in the same way, so they should not be treated as interchangeable. AION 2 Team’s Steam Community feed
When AION 2 launched
The global service launch date was October 5, 2026, local time. The official Steam launch notice listed the scheduled unlock as 6:00 AM PDT / 15:00 CEST that day. Official Steam launch notice

These are publisher-reported results for that period, not a claim about a permanent ranking. NC’s Early Access announcement
