Clash Runes are mentioned in AION 2 update notes, but the available official material does not explain rune types, effects, slots, or enhancement rules. A fan guide says the global client’s “clash items” are the same system it calls “class runes”; treat its details as guide claims, not confirmed official rules.
What are Clash Runes in AION 2?
The official NCSOFT announcement for the July 6, 2026 “Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow” update describes broader character progression: it raised the level cap to 50 and increased the Stigma skill enhancement limit to level 25. What does the fan guide claim about rune slots and levels?
Kodex says runes use two equipment slots and become available at level 45. It also says named quests unlock the slots, but notes that its quest names came from a community spreadsheet and were not verified in game. Can runes break when you enhance them?
Kodex warns that a failed enhancement from +2 onward can destroy a rune. Its advice is to stop at +1 and equip suitable runes rather than risk higher enhancement. That is risk-management advice from the guide, not a verified universal strategy: the reviewed sources provide no authoritative, current, region-specific success rates or enhancement rules. How can you get Clash Runes?
