For AION 2, Steam lists a minimum of a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC with a Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500, 8 GB RAM, and a 4 GB GTX 1050 Ti. Its recommended tier is a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-11700, 16 GB RAM, and an 8 GB RTX 2070. Both tiers call for DirectX 12, broadband internet, and 100 GB of available storage; Steam recommends an SSD. These are published compatibility tiers, not frame-rate guarantees.
AION 2 PC requirements at a glance
The figures below distinguish Steam’s global listing from NC Taiwan’s official PURPLE page. The Taiwan page supplies Radeon alternatives and slightly different processor detail and FHD preset guidance, so use the column for the distribution path relevant to you.

Steam’s global requirements and FHD notes appear on its AION 2 store page. The Radeon options, Taiwan-specific CPU suffixes, and preset notes are on NC Taiwan’s PURPLE download page. The two pages do not give identical recommended FHD presets: Steam says Low, while NC Taiwan says Normal. Do not treat either as a universal setting for every region or PC.
NC Taiwan separately says initial client installation requires approximately 70 GB or more. That installation-size note is distinct from the 100 GB available-storage requirement, so leave room for the listed capacity rather than planning around the smaller client figure alone.

How to tell whether your PC meets the requirements
- Check your Windows version and architecture. Confirm the system is Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- Identify the processor and graphics card precisely. Compare the full CPU and GPU model names with the relevant official column; for the GPU, check its dedicated video memory (VRAM) as well.
- Check installed RAM. The published minimum is 8 GB; the recommended tier is 16 GB.
- Confirm DirectX support and available storage. The tables list DirectX 12 and 100 GB available space.
- Check the drive type. Steam and NC Taiwan recommend an SSD. If the game drive is a hard drive, an SSD is a potential upgrade, subject to the PC’s connection and physical compatibility.
Compare every component with the same source’s tier. Having a processor above the minimum does not compensate for a graphics card below it, and meeting minimum specifications does not establish that the game will run at a particular frame rate or image quality.
What should you upgrade first?
Upgrade only after identifying which component falls short of the tier you want to meet. The official pages specify thresholds but do not provide benchmarks, frame-rate targets, or test results for individual PCs, so they cannot identify a universally best upgrade.

- Below the listed RAM amount: Compare installed memory with the 8 GB minimum and 16 GB recommended tier. Check motherboard support and available slots before buying memory.
- Below the listed graphics tier: Compare the exact GPU and VRAM, not just its manufacturer or a similar model name. NC Taiwan’s page names the RX 470 and RX 5700 XT as Radeon alternatives; it does not establish that every similarly named card performs identically. Check power supply capacity, case clearance, and platform compatibility before replacing a GPU.
- Short on space or using a hard drive: Both official pages list 100 GB available and recommend SSD storage. Before selecting an SSD, check whether the computer supports the intended M.2 or SATA interface, form factor, and connector or slot. A 1 TB NVMe SSD is one search option only if the system supports it; no particular capacity or model is required by the published specs.
- Below the CPU tier: Compare the full processor model with the applicable minimum or recommended entry. Confirm motherboard compatibility before considering a CPU replacement.
If choosing between PCs, compare the exact CPU, GPU and VRAM, RAM, SSD capacity and interface, upgradeability, and total cost. Brand names alone do not show whether a system meets the listed requirements.

Steam describes AION 2 as a PC-only game built on Unreal Engine 5, and its listing gives October 5, 2026 as the release date. NC’s official global teaser site also states an October 5, 2026 launch date. Availability can change, so check the current storefront for access status.
