To connect an AI Builder site to Google AdSense, add your site in AdSense, give the builder the unique verification code from your account and tell it to place that code inside the site’s <head> tags. Publish the site, then return to AdSense to verify ownership and submit it for review. Adding the code starts the process; it does not guarantee approval or ad revenue.
1. Add your site in AdSense
- Sign in to Google AdSense or create an account, then add your website under Sites.
- Follow the account’s setup prompts, including selecting the appropriate payment country or territory and accepting the terms when asked.
- Copy the verification code AdSense generates for your account. Use that exact code; do not substitute an example snippet or a publisher ID from another account.
AdSense may offer more than one ownership-verification method, such as a code snippet, an ads.txt file or a meta tag. Follow the method displayed in your account. For an AI Builder project, the code snippet is a direct option when the builder can place it in the site head.
2. Ask AI Builder to add the verification code
Agentic mode applies integrations through prompts, so state both what to add and where it belongs. Paste the complete, account-specific snippet into your request. For example:

Replace the bracketed instruction with the actual code copied from AdSense. Google’s code belongs in the site’s head, not in visible page text. For guidance on prompt-driven integrations, see the builder’s agentic-mode integration instructions; the AdSense setup guide describes the verification methods and code placement.

- Publish the changed site so the verification code is present on the live website.
- Return to AdSense and follow the verification or review steps shown for your site.
- If AdSense does not detect the code immediately, allow time for it to check the published site and follow any instructions shown in your account.
Publishing the code and passing ownership verification are steps in the process, not an approval decision. See Google’s AdSense setup guidance for the account workflow.
4. Decide whether to publish an ads.txt file
Google says ads.txt is optional but highly recommended. If AdSense asks you to create one, copy the line it provides, check that the publisher ID is yours, and publish it as a plain-text file at your website’s root. It should be reachable at an address such as https://your-domain.example/ads.txt.

The sample publisher ID is not real: replace it with the ID from your AdSense account. Follow Google’s ads.txt instructions rather than publishing the example unchanged.
5. Submit the site and complete account requirements
Once AdSense can verify the site, use the review or submission action in your account. Google checks the site against its AdSense Program policies and recommends interesting, original content that draws visitors. The verification code, ads.txt file or an Auto ads setting does not by itself guarantee acceptance. After setup, you can manage Auto ads in AdSense, subject to the options available in your account.
Complete payment details and any identity verification requested in your account. Google’s current signup guidance says identity verification may be required starting June 2026 before an account can show ads and receive payments. Requirements can vary by account, so use the prompts in your own AdSense account. See Google’s signup guidance and its site-review and approval information.
How long AdSense review can take
Google says a review usually takes a few days, but it can take 2–4 weeks. That is an estimate, not a service-level promise; the outcome and timing are controlled by Google. Wait for the status in AdSense and respond to any request or issue it identifies.
