The MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 first appears in a complete Chromebook: Acer’s Chromebook Plus Spin 514 (CP514-5HN). Its headline specifications include an NPU rated by MediaTek at up to 50 TOPS and an 11-core Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU. Those figures describe the chip’s advertised capabilities, not a guarantee of how every Kompanio Ultra Chromebook will perform.
Which Chromebook has the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910?
Acer announced the Chromebook Plus Spin 514 (CP514-5HN) as its first Chromebook powered by the Kompanio Ultra, specifying the Ultra 910. Acer’s September 2025 announcement identifies the model family and its configurations. Acer’s US product specifications also identify the CP514-5HN and Ultra 910.
Check the exact regional SKU before relying on a configuration claim. Similar Spin 514 names do not, by themselves, establish that a particular listing has this processor.
What do the Kompanio Ultra 910 specifications mean?
Up to 50 TOPS for the NPU
MediaTek rates the Ultra 910’s neural processing unit (NPU) at up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS). This is a manufacturer-stated peak capability, not a measured result showing how quickly a particular AI feature runs in everyday use. Actual results depend on the software, model, workload, and system implementation. MediaTek lists the figure on its Kompanio Ultra product page.

An 11-core Arm GPU
MediaTek identifies the graphics processor as an 11-core Arm Immortalis-G925. Acer’s announcement lists the GPU as Immortalis-G925 MC11. These are product specifications; without comparable independent graphics tests, they do not establish a performance ranking against other Chromebook processors.
CPU design and manufacturing claims
MediaTek describes the chip as using an all-big-core CPU design, large on-chip caches, and a second-generation TSMC 3 nm process. The company positions it for demanding ChromeOS workloads and on-device AI. These are MediaTek’s descriptions of the design and intended capabilities, not independent measurements of speed. Its April 2025 launch announcement provides that positioning.

How the Chromebook’s configuration affects the experience
The processor is one part of the finished computer. Acer lists configurations with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory and two touchscreen display options: a 14-inch 2880 × 1800 panel at 60 Hz, or a 14-inch 1920 × 1200 panel at 120 Hz. The display, memory, cooling, and power settings can all matter to a system’s behavior, so a chip specification alone cannot predict results across every task or device.
Acer advertises up to 17 hours of battery life for the Spin 514, but labels the detailed specifications as subject to regional variation. Treat that figure as Acer’s maximum claim, not a promise for every screen configuration or workload. Battery runtime also cannot be inferred directly from an NPU or GPU rating.

Touchscreen configurations support USI 2.0 styluses, according to Acer. Its cited specifications do not identify a particular stylus model or say that one is included, so check the exact SKU and package contents before buying an accessory.
What independent energy testing says—and does not say
A February 2026 report from Signal65 measured energy use during WebXPRT4 and reported 0.08 Wh for the Acer Spin 514 and 0.14 Wh for the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14; both listed test systems use the Kompanio Ultra 910. The figures are specific to those systems and that benchmark, rather than universal processor-power measurements or battery-runtime results. See Signal65’s report for the test context.

The difference between the two reported values is a useful reminder that complete-system implementation matters even when two devices share a processor. It does not establish that one device will use less energy in every task, or that the same difference will appear in unrelated benchmarks. A broad, consistent independent comparison across equivalent systems and multiple workloads is not established by these results.

- For on-device AI: Treat 50 TOPS as the NPU’s advertised peak rating. Check whether the specific ChromeOS feature or application you plan to use supports local processing and benefits from this hardware.
- For everyday Chromebook work: Look for independent tests of the actual system using workloads similar to yours. A processor name or core count alone cannot establish how responsive a complete device will feel.
- For graphics-heavy work: Seek comparisons using the same graphics benchmark, settings, and device class. The GPU’s core count is not a substitute for those results.
- For battery life: Separate manufacturer runtime claims from benchmark energy-use figures. Compare systems tested under the same workload and conditions, and confirm the display configuration of the SKU you are considering.
The evidence here identifies the Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514 CP514-5HN as a concrete Kompanio Ultra 910 system and lays out its advertised hardware capabilities. It does not establish current pricing, inventory, or every market’s available configuration; verify those details with the seller or Acer for the region where you plan to buy.
