AccelOps 4, the company’s fourth IT monitoring software release, added Statistical Anomaly Detection, a machine-learning feature that profiled traffic and metrics on network devices and alerted administrators to anomalies or thresholds. Data Center Knowledge reported the release on July 22, 2014; it is a historical release, not evidence of current product availability or support.
What Statistical Anomaly Detection did
AccelOps described the feature as applying a machine-learning algorithm to traffic and metrics from network devices. It profiled that activity and triggered alerts when it detected anomalies or thresholds. The July 2014 coverage does not specify the algorithm’s design, alert-accuracy rates, false-positive rates, or measured operational results. Data Center Knowledge’s release report is the source for the feature description.
Other additions in AccelOps 4
Hypervisor coverage
The release expanded the product beyond VMware ESXi to include Microsoft Hyper-V and Red Hat KVM, according to the July 22, 2014 report.
Remote access and watch lists
Data Center Knowledge called the tunneling capability Acceleport. It let users tunnel between an AccelOps Collector and Supervisor to reach servers. Watch List Creation let users track selected users, websites, or applications. A second July 2014 report uses the name “InTeleport” for the tunneling feature rather than “Acceleport”; the reports differ on the label. The second report also describes the release’s monitoring additions.

Synthetic transaction monitoring
AccelOps 4 added synthetic transaction monitoring based on Selenium. It could record user actions and identify website or application problems before end users encountered them, as described in the contemporaneous release coverage.
How the release fit AccelOps’ platform
The July 2014 reports characterized AccelOps as a unified IT operations platform for security, performance, and compliance monitoring. They described the new features but supplied no controlled evaluation or quantified performance outcomes. Jason Brown, CTO at customer NetCuras, said the release added “some very useful troubleshooting tools, as well as system upgrades and dashboard customization capabilities.” That is a customer comment, not independent testing or a measured result.
