Choose the ABS Cyclone Aqua if you want a conventional Windows gaming desktop with an RTX 5060 and more listed memory and storage; consider Steam Machine if compact size, SteamOS, and TV-focused convenience matter more. There is no cited controlled, game-by-game test of these exact systems, so a guaranteed frame-rate or performance multiplier is not established. Compare current prices and the games and settings you actually use before deciding.

Which one should you choose?
Choose the ABS Cyclone if you want Windows and a conventional desktop
The ABS is the more straightforward fit if you need Windows 11 for your games, applications, or familiar PC workflow. Its listed configuration includes an RTX 5060, 32GB of memory, and a 1TB SSD. That gives you more listed memory and storage than Steam Machine’s reported 16GB and base 512GB configuration, although Steam Machine also had a reported 2TB option.
The desktop format is also the more natural choice if you value standard-component flexibility. Check the exact component and warranty details with the seller before buying; the ABS specification page establishes the listed configuration, not every future upgrade option or service outcome.
Consider Steam Machine if the living-room experience is the priority
Steam Machine’s main distinction is its compact cube design and SteamOS experience. Tom’s Guide praised its TV-oriented interface, HDMI CEC, and controller-based wake behavior, while judging its price-to-performance weak in that review context. Those are the reviewer’s assessments, not guarantees that every television, controller, or setup will behave identically. Tom’s Guide review

How much faster is the RTX 5060?
The available sources do not establish a direct, controlled comparison of these exact complete systems in the same games. Notebookcheck reported that the RTX 5060 scored 45% above the RX 7600 in its 3DMark Time Spy Graphics GPU benchmark testing. That is context for a graphics benchmark, not evidence that the ABS system delivers 45% more frames than Steam Machine in games. Notebookcheck’s system-performance predictions are editorial extrapolations, not direct game-by-game measurements of both finished systems. Notebookcheck comparison

Do not assume either machine guarantees a particular resolution, graphics preset, or frame rate. For a useful head-to-head, look for independent tests of the same games at the same resolution and quality settings, with matching upscaling and ray-tracing conditions. Frame pacing can also affect how smooth a game feels, even when average frame rates look similar.

What to check for your games and setup
- Game and software compatibility: Confirm that your must-play games and non-game applications work with the operating system you choose. Windows offers a conventional desktop environment; Steam Machine is built around SteamOS.
- Display and settings: Search for tests at your monitor or TV resolution and preferred graphics settings rather than relying on GPU labels alone.
- Space and connections: Measure your available desk or entertainment-center space and check the ports and cable layout against your display and accessories.
- Upgrades and service: The ABS page lists the supplied parts; verify what can be upgraded without affecting warranty coverage. Steam Machine’s reported replaceable SSD and swappable memory are constrained by its compact design.
- Noise, power, and support: The cited sources do not establish a controlled comparison of noise or power consumption, nor do they settle warranty differences. Compare measured reviews and the actual seller/manufacturer terms if these are deciding factors.
