Find Liv, also called Lucky Penny in some guides, beside the Water Breathing Trainer in Bamboo Grove. Cross the lake nearby and search the far bank near the tree line for her lost penny. Return it, then complete Liv’s follow-up quest to collect 500 pennies to unlock an optional Wen gamble. The route and quest details below come from recent walkthroughs, not official game documentation, and may change with updates.
Where to find Liv, the Lucky Penny NPC
Use the Water Breathing Trainer in Bamboo Grove as your landmark. Liv is across the nearby lake, close to the opposite tree line, according to Nerd’s Chalk. Another walkthrough describes her as standing beneath a large tree. Slayers 2 Guide and AllThingsHow offer matching lake-based directions.
- Go to the Water Breathing Trainer in Bamboo Grove.
- Cross the lake and reach the far bank.
- Look along the tree line for Liv, then speak with her and accept the lost-penny quest.
Where Liv’s lost penny is
From Liv’s area, head toward the red arched bridge and the boundary wall. The most specific walkthrough places the penny in the inside corner of a low, L-shaped dirt ledge near a stone lantern. AllThingsHow describes a sunken dirt trench at the wall corner. The landmarks vary slightly between guides, so search the low dirt corner by the wall rather than only scanning the open ground.
- Move toward the red bridge and climb onto the far bank if you are still at the water.
- Continue along the boundary wall. Depending on your approach, you may pass a pink spawn crystal and a house.
- Look down into the low dirt corner or trench beside the wall and watch for the pickup prompt.
- Pick up the item labeled “Lucky Penny” and return it to Liv.
Slayers 2 Guide reports that the prompt reads “Lucky Penny” and “Pick Up”; AllThingsHow says to press T. If the item is hard to spot, inspect the inside of the low corner closely for the prompt.

Complete Liv’s 500-penny follow-up quest
After returning the lost penny, talk to Liv again and take the follow-up collection quest. Its objective is to collect 500 pennies around the tree near Liv; walkthroughs describe this as repeated collection, not a combat task. If the second quest does not appear, check the level requirement shown in Liv’s current dialogue before looking elsewhere.
The reported level gate conflicts: Nerd’s Chalk says Level 26, while Slayers 2 Guide and Kongbakpao report Level 21. The in-game prompt is the practical guide to the current requirement.

Guide-reported quest rewards
Published rewards are not fully consistent, so treat them as reported examples rather than guaranteed payouts. Slayers 2 Guide and Kongbakpao each list 840 EXP, 75 Wen, and one Health Potion for the first quest. For the 500-penny follow-up, Slayers 2 Guide lists 2,280 EXP and 270 Wen; Kongbakpao lists the same amounts plus four Health Potions. AllThingsHow notes that the first quest’s reward can vary with the player’s multiplier, reporting an example of 485 EXP at 1.05x and 78 Wen.

Unlock and use the optional Wen gamble
Recent walkthroughs say completing the 500-penny quest unlocks an optional gambling conversation with Liv. Slayers 2 Guide describes a coin flip using the Wen you carry: heads pays 1.5 times the wager, while tails pays nothing. Kongbakpao also warns that a loss can cost Wen. The exact terms have limited corroboration, so read the current dialogue carefully before you wager. Gambling is optional; you can close the conversation after finishing the quest if you do not want to play.

Why you may not see the quest or penny
- Liv or the quest is missing: Return to the Water Breathing Trainer in Bamboo Grove and cross the lake to the opposite tree line. For the second quest, check the level requirement in the NPC dialogue; guides disagree between Level 21 and Level 26.
- The penny is difficult to find: Search the low inside corner of the dirt ledge or trench by the boundary wall near the red bridge, and look down for the pickup prompt.
- You expect combat for the 500-penny objective: Guides describe collecting pennies around Liv’s tree rather than defeating enemies.
These route, level, reward, and gambling details are reported by secondary walkthroughs rather than an official developer source. Game patches may change them.
