The Firstlight War Fans schematic is found by completing a clue quest in Iceveil and digging at a snow patch beside a house near Doma. First, unlock access to Iceveil through its supply progression, buy a Shovel there, and follow the NPC clues in sequence. The schematic is only the blueprint; you must craft the weapon separately.
What you need before searching for the schematic
- Access to Iceveil, opened through its supply progression.
- The Shovel sold by the Iceveil shop NPC; keep it for the final dig.
- The clue quest completed through its NPC conversations.
Guides list Cooked Bear Meat and Health Elixirs among the supplies. One guide specifies nine Cooked Bear Meat and 25 Health Elixirs, but supply requirements and NPC route descriptions vary between guides. Follow the quest dialogue and turn-ins shown in your game rather than treating one guide’s wording as definitive. Source: quest-route guides
How to unlock and find the Firstlight War Fans schematic
- Open Iceveil. Complete the supply progression requested for Iceveil. Turn in the requested supplies before looking for the clue quest.
- Buy a Shovel. Purchase it from the Iceveil shop NPC and retain it for the dig.
- Follow the clue conversations. Speak with the NPCs identified in guides as Shiori, Dockmaster Sofen, Old Trapper Retsu, and Winter Store Rep Lynx. Complete each dialogue and any associated turn-in before moving on. If the next clue does not appear, revisit the previous NPC and check that the preceding quest step registered.
- Get the final location clue. Return to the shopkeeper after completing the clue chain.
- Dig near Doma. Use the Shovel on the snow patch beside a house near Doma in Iceveil. The schematic is the quest reward.
Names and route descriptions differ somewhat across guides; use the in-game dialogue and the house and snow-patch landmarks to confirm you are at the right step. Quest route and location details
The schematic and the finished weapon are separate
Finding the schematic does not automatically give you a usable pair of War Fans. Treat it as the blueprint reward, then complete the separate crafting step in-game to make the weapon.

Firstlight War Fans stats and the version caveat
Older item references list a stat package that should not be presented as current. A guide covering version 0.195 says an accidental Nightfall stat package was corrected: it reports +4 Additional Damage and a 1.148x damage factor for Firstlight War Fans. The exact current Block Points and Block Regeneration were not verified in the available guides. Pro Game Guides’ v0.195 coverage Additional item reference
For the current defensive values, check the in-game Archives or the weapon’s item card. Balance values can change with updates, and no official developer source confirming the exact current stats was identified.
