If playback buffers, test another connection, reduce video quality, and follow the steps for your device. For a YouTube live broadcast on a TV, the documented Default delay setting favors fewer interruptions over the lowest latency.
Where to watch official GTA 6 videos
Rockstar’s GTA VI video page lists Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look (August 27, 2026), Trailer 2 (May 6, 2025), and Trailer 1 (December 4, 2023). The page links viewers to Netflix and YouTube. Rockstar also lists video viewing through the GTA VI site.
The Extended Look is not an upcoming event: Rockstar announced that it would premiere on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET on August 27, 2026, then appear on its official YouTube channel and GTA VI site at 9 p.m. ET that day. Those are historical premiere times, not a recurring livestream schedule. Check the linked services for current regional availability and any access requirements.
Fix buffering on a computer or phone
- Try another connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then replay the video. Mobile data charges may apply.
- On a phone, clear the YouTube app cache. The exact controls vary by operating system and device.
- On a computer, close extra tabs and update the browser. Reopen the browser and retry; if playback errors persist, restart the device.
- Lower video quality. A lower resolution requires less bandwidth and may play more smoothly when the connection is constrained.
These are YouTube’s troubleshooting suggestions, not guarantees; a weak or unstable connection can still interrupt playback.

Improve the TV’s connection
YouTube recommends a minimum connection speed of 7 Mbps for HD streaming on TV. That is a recommendation, not a promise of uninterrupted playback. Test the connection near the TV, keep the device within router range, reduce interference, and limit other devices using the network. You can also manually lower playback quality.
Quit and reopen the YouTube app, restart the TV or streaming device, and install available system software updates. If the app continues to buffer, YouTube suggests trying another supported device, casting from a separate device, or connecting a laptop to the TV with HDMI.

For YouTube 4K on PS5
PlayStation’s guidance for watching YouTube in 4K on PS5 calls for a PS5 configured for 4K, a 4K display, and a steady connection of at least 25 Mbps. This figure applies to that PS5 and YouTube 4K use case; it is not a universal minimum for every GTA video, device, or resolution. In the YouTube app, use “Show Video Info” to check whether the reported resolution is 3840 × 2160.
If Wi-Fi signal or interference is the problem, a compatible Ethernet connection is another option when both the router and viewing device have wired ports. YouTube and PlayStation identify connection quality as relevant, but do not guarantee that a cable will solve buffering.

Choose smooth playback over minimum live delay
For YouTube Primetime Channels on TV, YouTube documents a broadcast-delay control. Its guidance says that a lower delay leaves less buffer in the player and makes interruptions more likely. Choose Default when continuity matters more than seeing a live broadcast with the least delay; choose Decrease only if reducing live spoilers matters more. Network congestion and other factors can delay live programming even with a good connection.
This guidance describes the specified YouTube TV setting, not a control available for every YouTube livestream. A trailer or other prerecorded video does not need a live-delay setting.

Download an official video to watch offline
Rockstar’s GTA VI media page lists its videos and clips with a “Download All” option. Downloading before you watch avoids relying on a continuous connection during playback. The page does not state individual file sizes or promise a particular quality, so check the download details and make sure you have enough storage.
Use Rockstar’s pages to verify that a video is an official release rather than a repost or commentary stream. For the right balance, stream at a quality your connection can sustain, use the platform’s device-specific troubleshooting steps, and download an official asset when that option suits your connection better.
