Local Sunday afternoon games, national broadcasts, streaming exclusives and out-of-market Sunday games have different rights. The right setup depends on your ZIP code, the games you want and whether you need to watch on a TV or a mobile device.
Check where each game is available first
The NFL’s Ways to Watch guide lets you enter a ZIP code and select the services you have to see a personalized schedule. Use it to confirm a specific game: local station availability varies by market, provider packages affect access, and flex scheduling can change a game’s date or broadcast slot. The guide was accessed October 4, 2026, and should be checked again during the season.

Use NFL+ for local and primetime games on a phone or tablet
NFL+ offers live local-market and nationally televised regular-season and postseason games on phones and tablets. “Local” means games available on TV in your local market. NFL+ does not provide live out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. It also offers live audio for every game; NFL+ Premium adds RedZone and game replays. NFL Support describes these mobile viewing limits in its FAQ, updated July 27, 2025.

If you want to watch live on a television or computer, do not assume an NFL+ subscription is enough. The NFL says connected-TV and desktop access may require signing in through a participating TV or streaming provider. Check the game’s listing and your provider’s supported access before relying on that setup.
Get out-of-market Sunday games with Sunday Ticket
If you want Sunday afternoon games that are not being shown in your local market, the NFL identifies Sunday Ticket through YouTube or YouTube TV as the option. It is not included with NFL+ or NFL+ Premium, according to NFL Support’s guidance updated September 14, 2025. Check current plan details and the game schedule before subscribing.
Use an antenna or local streaming service for local broadcasts
A digital antenna may receive local CBS, FOX, NBC or ABC stations over the air, depending on your address, the stations in range and reception conditions. Check local station reception for your home before buying. An antenna does not provide streaming-exclusive games or out-of-market Sunday afternoon games.

Alternatively, a live-TV streaming subscription may carry the local station or network you need. Availability and channel lineups vary by ZIP code and package, so compare the service’s current lineup with the NFL’s personalized schedule rather than assuming a service carries every local game.
Build a setup around your team and devices
- Enter your ZIP code in the NFL Ways to Watch guide. Select the services you already have and identify which games remain uncovered.
- Mark the games by broadcast type. Separate local Sunday afternoon games, national primetime games, streaming exclusives and out-of-market Sunday games.
- Match each gap to an option. Consider a local station via antenna or live-TV streaming for local broadcasts; NFL+ for live local and primetime viewing on a phone or tablet; and Sunday Ticket for out-of-market Sunday afternoon games.
- Verify device compatibility and current terms. Check whether you can watch on your TV, phone or computer, and confirm current package details and prices with the provider before paying.
- Recheck the schedule during the season. Flex scheduling and provider changes can affect dates, broadcast slots and availability.
Because games are split among broadcasters and platforms, the lowest-cost workable setup depends on which games you actually plan to watch. Compare current service costs against your uncovered games; the NFL guide does not establish a single subscription as a complete solution for every viewer.
What viewers outside the U.S. should know
This guide is for viewers in the United States. NFL Support directs international viewers to NFL Game Pass International through DAZN; NFL+ is U.S.-only and is unavailable in U.S. territories. Availability and rights differ by location, so use the NFL’s guidance for your country rather than applying U.S. broadcast options abroad.
