To stream cricket while abroad, first check whether the exact match is available from an authorized broadcaster in the country you’re visiting. Rights vary by event and territory, so a service that works at home may not carry the match where you are. The ICC’s live-streaming page directs viewers to the matches available in their region. Once you confirm availability, choose a supported device and follow that provider’s playback or casting instructions.
Check whether the match is available in your destination
Start with the ICC’s current event and broadcaster listings, then confirm the match on the broadcaster’s own service. ICC.tv says its live content is geo-restricted in some territories and directs viewers to check which matches are available in their region. Availability depends on the specific match and where you are watching—not just on your subscription at home.
The ICC’s general Official Broadcasters table is dated 7 February 2023. It names services including YuppTV in some territories, Kayo and Foxtel services in Australia, ESPN+ in parts of the Americas, Willow and ESPN+ in the United States, and Sky Go in the UK. Treat those entries as examples of how rights differ by territory, not as confirmation of current rights for a particular fixture. Check the event listing and provider directly before subscribing.
Watch on a phone or tablet
ICC.tv’s FAQ, dated 10 June 2021, lists apps for iPhone and iPad and for Android phones and tablets. It says registration is free, but that does not mean every match is free or available in every country: live content is selected and subject to geographic restrictions. Check the match listing for your destination before relying on the app.

ICC.tv also says its content is available for streaming only, with no downloads for offline viewing. If you expect to watch without a reliable connection, check whether your chosen broadcaster offers downloads; do not assume it does.
Watch on a laptop
ICC.tv offers web playback. Its FAQ recommends current versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox. Open the provider’s site, sign in or register as required, and select the available match. Other broadcasters may have different browser, device, and account requirements, so check their own support information.

Put the stream on a TV
For ICC.tv, the Android app supports Chromecast casting and the iOS app supports AirPlay, according to its FAQ. The phone or tablet and the TV or streaming receiver should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If the player displays the cast or AirPlay control, select it and choose your TV or receiver.
- Confirm the match is available through an authorized service in the country where you are watching.
- Open the service on a supported phone or tablet. For ICC.tv, use its Android app for Chromecast or its iOS app for AirPlay.
- Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Start playback and select the cast or AirPlay control if it appears, then choose the TV or receiver.
A TV with compatible casting built in may not need separate hardware. If yours lacks it, a Chromecast-compatible streaming device is an optional way to cast from the Android app; it is not necessary for every setup. Other broadcasters may support different TV apps or casting methods, so verify compatibility with the service you will use.

Why a cricket stream may not work overseas
A match can be unavailable because its broadcast rights differ in the country you are visiting. ICC.tv explicitly says some live content is geo-restricted. Check the region-specific match listing and the authorized provider for that destination. A working account or subscription from your home country alone does not establish that the match is available abroad.
If the match is listed but playback still fails, check the provider’s device and browser requirements, confirm that you are signed in, and make sure your connection and casting setup meet its instructions. Do not confuse a device problem—such as an unsupported browser or a missing cast control—with a rights issue: the broadcaster’s listing is the place to confirm whether the match is offered in your location.

What to verify before you rely on a stream
- Match and destination: Confirm the exact fixture is available in the country where you will watch.
- Access terms: Check whether registration or payment is required; free registration does not guarantee that a specific match is free.
- Device support: Verify app, browser, TV, Chromecast, or AirPlay compatibility with the chosen broadcaster.
- Playback features: Check commentary language, subtitles, casting, and offline viewing with the provider. ICC.tv’s 2021 FAQ says its product and commentary are in English and that downloads are not supported.
