Use the Cube for items you need on your current character, Character Warehouse for that character’s longer-term items, and Server Warehouse for eligible items you want to share with another character on the same server. Before moving anything, check its tooltip: storage eligibility depends on the item, and the detailed rules may differ in the global client.
NCSOFT’s official global teaser lists AION2’s launch as October 5, 2026. The more detailed storage information below comes from a January 2026 NCSOFT announcement and update notes, plus an unofficial guide dated September 28, 2026. Treat guide-specific counts, access terms and recovery rules as version-dependent, not confirmed global-launch rules.
Which Aion 2 storage should you use?
AION2 has three useful places to manage items: the Cube, Character Warehouse and Server Warehouse. The Cube is the inventory your character carries. The two warehouses separate items kept for one character from eligible items shared across characters on the same server.

NCSOFT announced the character-specific option as an addition alongside server-wide storage, describing players’ choice between the two as a way to manage items more flexibly (NCSOFT’s January 28, 2026 announcement). As a practical system, keep only what you need soon in the Cube, leave character-specific stock in Character Warehouse, and use Server Warehouse for eligible items meant for another character.

How to keep the system easy to follow
Keep the Cube for near-term needs
Think of the Cube as your active loadout and short-term inventory, not a place to accumulate every material or item you might use someday. Before depositing an item, consider whether you will need it away from a warehouse; keep that immediate-use stock with the character.
Use Character Warehouse for that character’s reserves
Put longer-term items that belong to the current character in Character Warehouse. This can keep the Cube clearer without making every activity require a withdrawal.

Use Server Warehouse deliberately for transfers
When the goal is to supply another character on the same server, try Server Warehouse only after checking that the item is eligible. If the item is rejected, do not assume its bound status explains why: the unofficial guide warns that eligibility is item-specific and recommends checking the tooltip.
Do you need to withdraw materials before crafting?
Not necessarily. NCSOFT’s January 28, 2026 update notes say items stored in Character Warehouse can be used directly for crafting, material conversion, supply requests and integrated enhancement. The notice also includes inheritance materials. This reduces the need to move eligible materials into the Cube first; it does not establish that every item or every activity can use warehouse contents.

The same update notes say the warehouse interface opens to Character Warehouse by default the first time and supports a separate quick-storage configuration for each warehouse. If you are depositing items, check which warehouse is selected before confirming. The reported labels and behavior should be checked against the global client.
How to check eligibility and avoid a mistaken transfer
- Decide who needs the item. Keep immediate-use items in the Cube, reserve character-specific stock in Character Warehouse, and consider Server Warehouse for an eligible same-server handoff.
- Read the item tooltip. Confirm that the item can go into the intended storage, especially Server Warehouse. An item’s bound status alone does not establish eligibility.
- Confirm the selected warehouse. The January update notes report separate quick-storage configurations for Character and Server Warehouse. Check the active destination before using a deposit action.
- Check the global client’s access options. The September 28 fan guide describes Quick Store as depositing matching items through remote storage, with remote availability tied to membership. Those terms are guide-reported and may not match the global launch build.
What capacity and recovery details are confirmed?
Precise slot counts, expansion costs and recovery limits are not established as global-launch facts in the available official material. Aion 2 Maps’ unofficial guide, updated September 28, 2026, reports 40 Cube slots and 25 slots each for Server Storage and Character Storage. It also describes warehouse expansion in five-slot lines, rising Kina costs by line, differing limits for Kina and voucher expansions, and a voucher that opens one line. The guide says containers can reach 80 lines while Kina expansion is capped lower. These figures and rules reflect a regional/client snapshot and guide material that includes community or datamined details; verify them in the game before relying on them.

The same guide reports a Recover Item menu for certain accidental sales, extractions and Soul Sync material use, with a three-day recovery period and annual limits by action. This is not confirmed here as a global policy. If you make a mistake, open the in-game recovery menu promptly and consult the current official support policy; do not assume the item is recoverable or that the guide’s time limit applies to your client.
