When your AION 2 inventory fills up, check an item’s description, restrictions, and displayed actions before clearing it. Look for another possible use first; store it if you are unsure and storage is available. Sell or extract only after confirming the item is eligible and the result is useful to you.
Use this decision process for each item
- Inspect it in your current client. Read the item name and description, check any binding or other restrictions, and note which actions the item actually offers. A recent iTechGuides inventory guide recommends checking an item’s purpose and restrictions first, but the available sources do not establish a complete eligibility chart for AION 2. Read the iTechGuides inventory guide.
- Check for a reason to keep it. Consider whether it is current equipment or a plausible upgrade, or may relate to appearance, progression, crafting, another character, or a request. These are cautious checks based on third-party and community guidance, not a confirmed exhaustive list of item uses. A community guide recommends checking for a supply-request marker on relevant items; its UI advice was last verified September 23, 2026, and details may vary by build. - Store it if you are uncertain. If the client permits storage, keeping an unclear item is safer than disposing of it while you investigate its use. Storage capacity and eligibility depend on what the client shows.
- Choose an action only after checking its outcome. If you are considering extraction or dismantling, check requests first and make sure the returned materials would help you. If selling, confirm the item’s trade or vendor eligibility and the available option; do not assume you can buy it back. Destroy only when you have confirmed there is no useful value or recovery path, and read the confirmation prompt. The available guides do not establish guaranteed yields or that destruction can be reversed.
What to keep, sell, dismantle, or store

These are decision checks, not universal item rules: which actions are available depends on the item and what your current regional client displays. AION 2 Guide’s old-gear guide also recommends weighing combat, upgrade, appearance, crafting, and alternate-character value before salvaging.
Can you recover an item after selling or destroying it?
Assume a routine sale or destruction may be irreversible unless the current client or applicable official policy clearly says otherwise. The iTechGuides inventory guide, published October 3, 2026, reports that sales made to free inventory space are excluded from NCSoft’s global restoration policy. That is a third-party guide’s report, not a guarantee about current policy in every region; check the policy that applies to your account before relying on restoration.
Do not assume another AION game has the same inventory features
The official AION Online auto-hunt guide documents an auto-sell-junk function for AION Online, not AION 2. It does not establish that AION 2 has the same feature. Read the AION Online auto-hunt guide.
