To review a purchase Muse made, check its audit trail and the merchant’s order confirmation. To cancel a completed order, contact the retailer promptly: Meta’s published information does not document a universal Muse control for canceling third-party orders. A recurring subscription or an unapproved purchase follows a different route, depending on what the charge represents.
First, identify what happened
Meta introduced its personal AI agent Muse on September 8, 2026. Meta says Muse asks for approval before making a purchase and shows an audit trail of actions it has taken and plans to take. Those descriptions can help you investigate a transaction, but the announcement does not give step-by-step navigation or establish that the audit trail is a complete purchase ledger. Meta’s Muse announcement
- Open Muse and review the audit trail for the relevant action. Meta has not published a specific menu path for reaching it.
- Check the purchase confirmation or billing receipt for the merchant, item or subscription, date, amount, and order or transaction reference.
- Use the receipt to distinguish a retailer order from a recurring subscription or an app-store charge. The party that billed you determines where to request cancellation.
If Muse is waiting for purchase approval
Review the proposed action and the approval request in Muse before responding. Meta says Muse checks with the person before a purchase, but its announcement does not specify whether every proposal has a cancel control or how long an approval request remains available. Do not assume an action has been stopped unless the app confirms that it was declined or is no longer pending.
If Muse already placed an order with a retailer
Contact the merchant using its order page or the contact details in the confirmation, and request cancellation as soon as possible. Whether the seller can stop fulfillment depends on its terms, the item, and the order’s status. Keep the order confirmation and reference number. The available Meta information does not establish a general post-purchase cancellation route inside Muse.

If the charge is for a recurring subscription
Muse Code
For a Muse Code subscription, Meta’s published steps are to open Accounts Center → Manage your subscription → Cancel subscription. Cancellation leaves access active through the end of the current billing cycle. Meta says cancellation alone does not provide a credit or refund unless required by law. These instructions apply to Muse Code; they should not be assumed to cover every product or charge called Muse. Meta Model API Help: Subscriptions
A Muse app-store charge
The US App Store listing describes Muse as a free app with in-app purchases, but that listing does not identify the billing source for an individual transaction or provide charge-specific cancellation and refund steps. Check the receipt to see which provider billed you, then use that provider’s current account instructions. Canceling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions. What Meta’s Link protections do—and do not establish
Meta says checkout can use Link by Stripe and describes protections for eligible purchases, including coverage related to damaged or lost items, price drops, and returns. The launch announcement does not establish eligibility or claim steps for a particular transaction. These protections are not described as an automatic order cancellation or blanket refund. Check the applicable Link and merchant terms for the purchase in question. Meta’s Muse announcement
