You can let Sarah stay or drive her out; either choice frees Corinne and leads to a meeting at the Golden Sturgeon, but letting Sarah stay unlocks the optional Haunted House quest.
Find Corinne Tilly and enter the haunted house
This main quest continues Geralt’s search for information about Ciri in Novigrad. Triss directs him to oneiromancer Corinne Tilly, who is in a house owned by Rudolf de Jonkheer. The house is southeast of Hierarch Square; another route description places it along the canal from Brandon Granary. See the location directions in Gamer Guides and Prima Games.
- Speak to Rudolf outside the marked house.
- Go inside and upstairs. Corinne is asleep and caught in a nightmare.
- Use the ladder in the adjacent room to reach the attic.
Solve the attic doll and crib puzzle
- In the attic, use Aard to clear the blocked doorway into the storage room.
- Collect the Rag Doll and Drawing of a Crib.
- Return to Corinne’s bedroom and enter the small side room.
- Place the Rag Doll in the crib. The door closes, and an oven drawing appears as the next clue.

Reach Sarah in the cellar
Follow the oven clue downstairs. Find the cellar trapdoor, climb down and examine the oven. There you meet Sarah, a godling who has been scaring people away from the house and keeping Corinne trapped in her nightmare. You must decide whether Sarah can stay or should be driven out.
Let Sarah stay
Accept Sarah’s deal, then tell Rudolf that the house remains haunted. Sarah frees Corinne and stays in the house. This choice makes the later secondary quest Haunted House available.

Drive Sarah out
Threaten to expel Sarah, then put Burdock in the oven and ignite it with Igni. If you do not already have Burdock, Prima Games says it must be bought from a herb merchant rather than gathered in the wild. Gamer Guides reports a bundle price of 11 Crowns, but that is a guide-specific in-game value and may differ with edition or balance state; check the merchant’s current price in your game. Sarah leaves, and the Haunted House follow-up is unavailable.
What changes with each choice?

Both routes free Corinne and continue the main quest. Walkthroughs describe Sarah’s later appearances differently, so those accounts are not a reliable basis for choosing between the two outcomes.

Meet Corinne at the Golden Sturgeon
After resolving the cellar encounter, speak with Corinne, then meet her in her room upstairs at the Golden Sturgeon. The questions about Geralt’s memories and Ciri’s abilities do not alter the outcome. Corinne’s vision shows a poet with a swallow, pointing Geralt toward Dandelion and the Rosemary and Thyme. It leads into the next Novigrad main quest, Broken Flowers.
