Check which Novigrad Dreaming objective is stuck
The quest’s haunted-house sequence leads to a choice about Sarah. Investigate the rooms and attic, then decide whether to make a deal with her or drive her out. These routes differ in what you need to do next.

After the haunted-house events, Corinne’s later dream report at the Golden Sturgeon is the next information beat described in the walkthrough. If your journal objective does not match where you are in that sequence, check the journal for a related quest that may need attention before treating the issue as a bug.
“Get some burdock”: complete the expulsion sequence

Cast Igni as part of the sequence.
If the herbalist appears not to sell burdock, verify the merchant’s location before assuming the quest has locked. One player who reported “He does not sell any burdock at all” later realized the merchant was on the “OTHER side of the building.” That is a community-reported explanation for a possible location mix-up, not an official fix.
“Need to get into the attic” or the journal will not advance
Make sure you have investigated the rooms and attic before expecting the haunted-house sequence to continue. Then check your journal for a related quest that may need to be completed first. CD PROJEKT RED’s technical-support guidance says: “If you are unable to progress in the game, either in a side quest, or in the main story please try the solutions below:” Its advice includes checking for a related quest, verifying the game cache, and loading a save from before the issue.

Verify the game cache. Use your platform’s game-file verification option if available.

Load an earlier save. Choose a save made before the quest stopped progressing.

Contact support if it persists. Provide the quest name and attach your save. Say whether you used mods, console commands, or trainers; include your platform and game version so support can identify the build.

If the ladder drops Geralt
A player reporting a ladder that dropped Geralt after one step said jumping onto the ladder helped. Treat this as a low-confidence workaround, not a guaranteed fix. If it does not work, try the earlier-save and support steps above rather than repeatedly relying on the same interaction.

The English Patch 1.10 changelog records a quest-specific fix: “Fixes crash occurring during conversation with owner of haunted house in quest titled Novigrad Dreaming.” This is a legacy fix for a crash during that conversation. It does not establish that burdock stock, ladder interactions, or every blocked quest state were fixed.
CD PROJEKT RED says The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered released on September 29, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2; existing owners can upgrade for free within the same platform ecosystem. The October 1, 2026 PC 5.00c notes list save/load, audio, visual, telemetry, and achievement fixes. The October 1 5.00b notes cover DLSS, lighting, and parity adjustments. Neither set of notes mentions Novigrad Dreaming. No quest-specific Remastered remedy is identified in those notes; their omission does not establish whether a particular platform or build has a bug.
The available official support guidance and patch notes do not provide a frequency estimate for Novigrad Dreaming bugs. Individual player reports can suggest what to check, but they do not show how common a symptom is.
