Compare your PC’s operating system, processor, RAM, graphics card and VRAM, and free storage with the matching Steam requirements below. Steam lists separate minimum and recommended configurations for Windows and SteamOS/Linux. Meeting the minimum is the published baseline—not a guarantee of a particular frame rate on your system.
Hearth and Hamlet PC system requirements
The Steam listing describes Hearth and Hamlet as “a medieval citybuilder clicker that blends resource management, in-depth upgrade trees and relaxing idle gameplay.” Its requirements differ slightly by platform, so use the row for the operating system you intend to run the game on.

Source for all listed specifications: Steam store listing. The “or AMD equivalent” wording does not include a benchmark-based equivalency chart, so it does not establish how any unlisted processor or graphics card will perform.
How to compare your PC with the requirements
- Choose the platform row. Match the list to Windows or SteamOS/Linux. Check that Windows is 64-bit where specified, or that your Linux distribution is Ubuntu 20.04 or newer / SteamOS.
- Find your processor model and speed. Compare its exact model with the listed Intel reference and speed. The store does not define equivalent AMD or other CPU models beyond saying “AMD equivalent.”
- Check installed system RAM. 8 GB meets the listed minimum amount; 16 GB is the recommended amount. System RAM is separate from graphics-card VRAM.
- Identify your graphics card and VRAM. Compare the exact GPU model with a card named in the relevant row, and check its VRAM amount. The listed cards specify 2 GB VRAM. The listing does not provide a broader GPU equivalency guide or laptop-specific performance guidance.
- Check Windows DirectX support. The Windows rows specify DirectX 11. The SteamOS/Linux rows do not list a DirectX requirement.
- Confirm free storage. The listing requires 1 GB available storage.
Compare against minimum first to see whether your PC reaches the published baseline, then against recommended to see where it falls short of the higher target. A match with either list does not by itself predict a frame rate or establish how a particular laptop configuration will run.

What the 16 GB recommendation and VRAM update mean
In an August 28, 2026 Steam news update, the developer said it had increased the recommended Steam RAM requirement from 8 GB to 16 GB. It also said 8 GB “can still work flawlessly,” but leaves little room for multitasking. That is the developer’s general guidance, not a promise that every PC with 8 GB will run the game flawlessly.
A September 5, 2026 Patch 1.0.07 announcement reported that changes reduced VRAM use by about 1.1 GB and should improve stability, especially on lower-spec hardware. This is a developer-reported update, not an independent benchmark or a change to the GPU models in Steam’s published requirement rows. The published graphics requirements still name cards with 2 GB VRAM.

What to do if your PC falls short
- If you have less than 8 GB of system RAM or less than 1 GB of available storage, you are below the corresponding published minimum.
- If you have 8 GB RAM but not 16 GB, you meet the listed minimum memory amount but not the recommended amount. An upgrade is optional, not a stated requirement; whether you can upgrade depends on your PC and its supported memory.
- If your processor or GPU is not named, the listing does not establish a definitive equivalent or compatibility verdict. Model names alone are not enough to infer performance, particularly for laptop variants.
- If you want a system-specific assessment, gather your operating system and exact CPU, GPU, GPU VRAM, installed RAM, and available storage, then compare each item with the matching platform row.
