PC Slower Than It Used to Be?
A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo install an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, first confirm that your exact card fits your case and that your power supply meets the card maker’s requirements. Then shut down and unplug the PC, install the card in a PCIe x16 slot, connect the required power plugs, and install the current driver from AMD. The RX 9070 XT is a family of partner cards, so dimensions and some power requirements vary by model.
Check the card, case, and power supply before installing
Use the exact model name on the card box or product page; do not rely on the RX 9070 XT name alone. Before opening the PC, confirm the card’s length, height, thickness or slot occupancy, power connectors, and manufacturer-recommended PSU wattage. Compare those measurements with your case’s GPU clearance and any nearby drives, fans, radiators, or other obstructions.
AMD’s RX 9070 XT specifications page lists 304 W typical board power, a 750 W minimum PSU recommendation, and two 8-pin auxiliary power connectors for the family. These are AMD’s family-level figures; follow the exact board partner’s instructions if they differ.
For example, ASRock lists its RX9070XT MH 16G as 298 × 131 × 58 mm, with two 8-pin power connectors and an 800 W recommended PSU. Those measurements and the 800 W recommendation apply to that ASRock model, not every RX 9070 XT.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Check that the case has enough room for the card’s full dimensions and that the bracket lines up with available expansion slots.
- Confirm that the PSU meets the specific card maker’s recommendation and has the required PCIe power connections.
- Consult both the graphics-card and PSU manuals for the correct cable arrangement. Connector counts do not establish one universal cabling method for every PSU and card combination.
Install the RX 9070 XT
AMD identifies the RX 9070 XT as a desktop graphics card with a PCIe 5.0 x16 bus. Install it in a compatible PCI Express x16 slot, following the instructions for your particular card. AMD’s general GPU installation guidance and the PowerColor Red Devil RX 9070 XT Limited Edition quick guide support the sequence below; PowerColor’s directions are specific to that model.
- Shut down and disconnect power. Turn off the computer, switch off the PSU, unplug the power cable, and open the case. Follow your case and card manuals for any additional safety steps.
- Make room for the card. Remove the appropriate expansion-slot covers. If replacing a graphics card, release its retention mechanism, disconnect its power plugs, and remove it. Take off the new card’s contact protector if one is fitted.
- Seat the card. Align the card with the PCIe x16 slot and the case opening, then press it into the slot until it is fully seated and retained. Do not force it; check alignment if it does not go in smoothly.
- Secure the bracket. Fasten the card’s bracket to the case so the card stays in position. Use a support bracket only if the card maker includes or recommends one, or your setup otherwise needs support.
- Connect GPU power. Attach every power plug required by the exact card, following the card and PSU manuals for cable routing. Do not assume that every RX 9070 XT uses the same partner-board configuration.
- Close the case and reconnect. Check that the card and cables are secure and clear of fans, then close the case, reconnect power, and switch the PSU back on.
Boot the PC and install the Radeon driver
Once the computer starts, update the operating system, then get the driver from AMD’s live RX 9070 XT support page. AMD says its software and drivers are designed to work best on up-to-date operating systems. The support page offers Windows and Linux packages for listed distributions.

Treat those as dated listings, not a permanent recommendation; check AMD’s page for current releases.
