Wair Living presents it as a playful companion and DIY coding gadget, with games and Blockly programming among its advertised features.
What is the KT2 Kungfu Turtle?
KT2 is a pocket-sized quadruped robot kit developed by Wair Living and promoted through a Kickstarter campaign. The campaign creator describes it as “a pocket-sized kungfu robot, a desktop companion pet, a partner with 99 built-in games, and a DIY gadget.” That is the maker’s characterization; the available product descriptions frame KT2 as a desktop toy and coding project, not an autonomous martial-arts system.
Hackster.io describes the kit as combining programmed entertainment with maker-oriented features. Its article lists Blockly visual programming, while Wair Living’s campaign FAQ promotes 99 built-in interactive games. These are published descriptions, not independently tested findings.
What can it do?
Games and desktop features
The maker’s FAQ advertises 99 interactive games. Hackster also mentions a Pomodoro timer and stretch reminders, positioning KT2 as a desktop companion as well as a toy. The supplied product descriptions do not establish how these features perform in everyday use.

Programming and robot behavior
KT2 includes Blockly, a visual programming interface intended to let users create programs without writing conventional code. Hackster says the robot’s TurtleOS handles real-time balance and obstacle adjustments and supports over-the-air software updates. These capabilities are reported in product descriptions; no independent testing is cited.
What hardware and connectivity does it have?
Hackster reports that KT2 uses an ESP32-S3 microcontroller running at 240 MHz and includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The listed sensors are a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), a touch sensor, and a microphone. The robot is rechargeable.
According to Wair Living’s FAQ, many of KT2’s features can work offline without Wi-Fi or an app. That means connectivity is not described as a requirement for every use, though the available information does not specify which individual features require a connection.
How long does its battery last?
The published estimates differ: Hackster says about four hours of operation, while Wair Living’s campaign FAQ estimates approximately four to six hours per charge depending on use. Neither figure is presented as an independent test result, so treat them as maker or article-reported estimates rather than guaranteed runtime.

What happened to the Kickstarter campaign?
The Kickstarter campaign ended on September 6, 2024. Its page reports $639,449 pledged by 3,438 backers toward a $10,000 goal and says it was last updated June 30, 2026. Those figures establish the campaign’s funding history; they do not confirm current retail stock or whether a particular backer received a kit.
Hackster listed a $99 starting reward for one robot kit at the time of its article. That was a historical Kickstarter reward, not a verified current price. Current retail availability is not established by the available product and campaign information.
Is KT2 a good fit for a maker or coding project?
KT2 may interest someone looking for a compact robot that combines play with introductory visual programming. Its advertised Blockly interface and DIY positioning are relevant to a home or educational maker project, while its games and desktop reminders emphasize companion use. The sources do not establish assembly difficulty, current purchase options, or classroom suitability, so those details should be checked with the seller before making a buying decision.
