Talismans are passive boosts, and Xbox Wire reports that you can equip three. The 24-item count and several routes come from secondary guides, not an official catalogue, so treat conflicting locations and exact percentages as reported details to check in your current game.
Current as of October 4, 2026. Minecraft Dungeons II launched September 29, 2026, according to the official launch announcement.
What talismans do and how many there are
Talismans add passive bonuses to a build. Game design team member Laura de Llorens described them as “passive boosts” in an Xbox Wire interview. Xbox Wire coverage reports three talisman slots, letting you combine these effects with weapons, armor, enchants, and active artifacts.
Launch-week guides from Destructoid and ShowGamer describe a 24-talisman collection, usually divided into 15 quest rewards, eight secret finds, and one final reward. That total is a guide count, not an official published inventory; the guides also disagree on some acquisition details. No official comprehensive item list or exact stat table is available in the cited sources.

Reported talismans, effects, and locations
The table reflects the October 3 Destructoid guide and the October 2 ShowGamer guide. Percentages are ShowGamer’s reported level 1/2/3 values, not official stats; verify them in-game. Where guides conflict, the disagreement is noted rather than resolved as fact.

How to find the eight secret talismans
Launch-week guides identify five secret finds with named map locations and three that depend on particular dungeon or rift layouts. Mobalytics’ route overview adds nearby landmarks for the fixed-location finds. Use these as navigation leads, not patch-proof coordinates: the sources describe some hidden-room layouts as variable.

| Secret talisman | Reported area or route cue |
|---|---|
| Thrifty Pendant | Rainy Plains, near the White Tower fast-travel point. |
| Lucky Clover | Frozen Highlands, at Library Towers. |
| Medallion of Momentum | Humbler Huskland, near the Echo Den. |
| Emerald of Good Fortune | Lullaby Hills, near the Illager Fortress. |
| Amethyst Lens | Howling Woods secret chest according to ShowGamer; Destructoid instead associates it with Prime Enchanter Revived. |
| Glowstone Flask | A specific secret-room layout in an Overworld dungeon. |
| Ocelot’s Paw | A specific secret-room layout in a Rift. |
| Soul Chip | A specific secret-room layout in a Sift dungeon. |
The fixed-location cues and layout caveats are reported by Mobalytics’ secret-talisman guide and ShowGamer. If a required room does not appear, repeat the relevant activity; the guides do not establish that every run generates the same layout.
Unlock Mosstrosity and Wonderful Wheat
Guides agree on the broad sequence: collect the eight hidden talismans, then follow the revealed secret route in Howling Woods, defeat Mosstrosity, and claim Wonderful Wheat. Mobalytics describes the final boss door as appearing in Howling Woods after the set is collected. The precise route and room presentation are guide-reported and may change with game updates.

Choose talismans for the job your build needs done
Three slots make trade-offs important. Compare a talisman’s bonus category, how often its condition is active, and whether your build needs a direct boost or a conditional one. The reported effects suggest these starting points; they are not a developer ranking or a universal best setup.
- Survivability: Sigil of Beeswax for maximum health or Healing Heart if you can spend time out of combat.
- Damage: Fist of Iron for melee, Amethyst Lens for ranged attacks, or Ocelot’s Paw if jumping melee attacks are central to your play.
- Cooldowns and souls: Essence of Efficiency for artifacts, Glowstone Flask for healing-potion availability, and Twisted Tooth or Soul Chip for soul-focused play.
- Movement: Armadillo Amulet for rolling more often or Medallion of Momentum if you can keep moving continuously.
- Loot and progression: Lucky Clover or Looter’s Charm for drops, Emerald of Good Fortune for emeralds, and The Eye of Experience for experience gain.
- Ranged ammunition: Twig of Dark Oak for greater ammunition capacity.
- Companions: Tasty Bone, Golem Kit, Prickle’s Mark, Wobblestone, and Wonderful Wheat summon allies according to the guides.
Pair the effect with your weapon, armor, enchants, difficulty, and playstyle. For example, a damage bonus that depends on staying above a health threshold is less dependable if your build regularly takes hits; a movement bonus requiring three seconds of continuous movement suits a different rhythm than one that reduces roll cooldown.

Sources and confidence
The passive-boost description, three-slot report, and launch date come from official Minecraft and Xbox Wire material. The item count, names, percentages, and routes are from launch-week secondary guides, principally Destructoid, ShowGamer, and Mobalytics. The cited official materials do not publish a complete talisman inventory or stat table, so treat guide-specific routes and values as reported rather than definitive.
