There isn’t enough verified live-game information to name a best talisman for every build in Minecraft Dungeons II. The one specific effect documented in hands-on coverage is a bone talisman that summons a dog to attack enemies and draw their attention. That makes it a reasonable provisional pick for companion or aggro-support play—not a proven best-in-slot choice.
What talismans do
Mojang design director Laura de Llorens described talismans as “passive boosts” in an official Xbox Wire podcast transcript published September 26, 2026. Xbox Wire’s hands-on preview reports that a character can equip three talismans. They are passive loadout bonuses, rather than artifact-style abilities the player actively triggers.
Having three slots creates room to combine bonuses, but it does not reveal which combination performs best. The available sources do not provide a complete catalog, effect values, or comparative tests by build.
The evidence-backed provisional pick
Companion or aggro support: bone talisman
In Xbox Wire’s June 10, 2026 hands-on preview, a bone talisman summons a dog companion. The dog attacks enemies, draws their attention, can take damage, and returns after a short respawn timer. Those observed behaviors make the bone a plausible choice if you want a companion to occupy enemies while you act.

This is preview evidence, not a measured live-game ranking. It does not establish that the bone is strongest, or that its behavior and balance remain unchanged in the launched game.
Companion sustain: one demonstrated synergy
The Xbox Wire preview writer paired the dog with a weapon enchantment that could create regeneration spots when enemies were killed. This is an observed demo-build interaction that may help sustain the player and companion; it is not evidence that the pairing is optimal or universally available.

What to choose for other builds
The available evidence does not support naming a best talisman for melee, ranged, soul, caster, tank, or other archetypes. Assigning unverified item names or effects to those roles would turn a guess into advice. For now, check the live item descriptions and choose a passive that addresses the job your build needs.
