Yes: the Intel Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X550-T2 is a dual-port RJ45 10GbE adapter that lists 2.5GbE support and supports low-profile bracket height. The important catch is that Intel specifies NBASE-T support for Linux only, so check the driver and exact card variant against your operating system before buying.

Which NIC matches these requirements?

The Intel X550-T2 is the clearest documented match for two copper Ethernet ports, 10GbE, a low-profile installation, and a listed 2.5GbE rate. Intel lists per-port rates of 10GbE, 5GbE, 2.5GbE, 1GbE, and 100Mb. See Intel’s X550-T2 specifications.

Will 2.5GbE work with your operating system?

Do not assume that the listed 2.5GbE hardware rate works on every OS. Intel’s specification says “NBASE-T support in Linux Only.” Before purchase, verify that the driver supports NBASE-T on your particular Linux distribution and that the card you are buying is the X550-T2. For an OEM or rebranded card, check that seller’s documentation as well; compatibility and included components may vary by card.

Will it fit your PC?

Intel lists both low-profile and full-height bracket support. That confirms the adapter can be installed at low-profile height, but not that every retail or OEM package includes the low-profile bracket. Confirm the included bracket with the seller if your case requires one.

What to check in a product listing

  • It identifies the card as an Intel X550-T2, not merely as an unspecified dual-port 10GbE adapter.
  • It has two RJ45 ports and supports 2.5GbE with your OS and driver.
  • The low-profile bracket is included if your case needs one.
  • Your host slot and chassis can accommodate the PCIe x4 card.

Intel’s 500 Series adapter comparison and X550 family overview also list the X550-T2. The X540-T2 is not established by the cited Intel sources as a 2.5GbE-compatible alternative, so do not treat it as an equivalent without separate confirmation.
