To check a Punjab Safe City e-challan, use the official PSCA verification service with the vehicle registration number and the owner’s CNIC without dashes, or the vehicle chassis number as requested. Review the results, select the challan or challans, and generate a PSID to pay through ePay Punjab. A manual traffic-warden ticket follows a separate route: look up its details using the PSID printed on the ticket.

How do I check my Punjab traffic e-challan online?

First identify which kind of challan you have. A Safe City camera challan is searched using vehicle details; a manual ticket issued by a traffic warden is looked up using the PSID printed on the paper ticket. These are separate services and use different starting information.

ePay Punjab says its payment system is linked to the State Bank of Pakistan and banks through 1Link. Follow the live payment screen for the channel and instructions available when you pay.

What is the PSID on a traffic challan?

A PSID is the payment identifier used to look up or pay a challan. For a Safe City challan, you generate it after selecting the challan in the ePay Punjab flow. For a manual ticket, use the PSID printed on the ticket to view its details in the Traffic Challan service.

The official material does not give one consistent digit count for every PSID screen. The general ePay Punjab page describes a 17-digit identifier, while the Punjab Police/ePay Punjab Traffic Challan user guide says, “Please enter your 18-digits PSID to view your traffic challan details.” That instruction applies to the Traffic Challan screen described in that guide. Copy the identifier generated for your service and follow the payment screen rather than assuming a universal length.

What if my ticket was issued by a traffic warden?

Use the PSID on the paper ticket in the Traffic Challan service to view the ticket details, then pay through a permitted payment channel. Traffic Police Punjab says a manual violation ticket should be paid within 10 days. Its guidance says that if seized documents are not submitted to the related traffic sector within that period, they are sent to court; it says the violator can retrieve them from court after paying double fine. This deadline and consequence refer to the manual-ticket process described on that page.

How can I avoid fake e-challan payment messages?

Associated Press of Pakistan reported on April 15, 2026, that a PSCA spokesperson warned: “Safe City e-challan messages do not contain any links, nor do they instruct citizens to make online payments.” The report says official Safe City e-challan messages come from 9915. Because this is a reported warning rather than the primary PSCA notice, check current PSCA notices for the latest sender information.
