You could assemble captured photos into a timelapse using a separate workflow, but the manufacturer’s available documentation does not establish that the camera creates a finished video itself.
How the NE101 captures images
CamThink describes the NE101 as an IoT camera with time-based and event-triggered capture. Its quick-start guide describes two ways to capture periodically: schedule specific times during the day, or set an interval in minutes, hours, or days. The guide permits up to eight daily scheduled capture times. A PIR sensor or other hardware can also act as a trigger. CamThink’s product page and quick-start guide explain these modes.
These features can supply a series of still photos for a timelapse project. The cited documentation does not say that the NE101 records continuous video, stitches photos into a video, or provides a finished timelapse export. Plan for a separate way to collect and assemble images if you need a playable video.
Which NE101 version fits an outdoor site?
Choose the configuration around the network available at the installation site, the area you need to frame, and the distance to the subject. CamThink lists Wi-Fi, Cat.1 cellular, and Wi-Fi HaLow connectivity options, along with interchangeable camera modules. Its OV5640 options include 60° and 120° fields of view and different focus distances. Confirm regional cellular compatibility and actual coverage, or the availability of suitable Wi-Fi or HaLow infrastructure, before choosing a version. CamThink’s NE101 product information and store listing describe the configurations.

- Mounting and exposure: Plan a suitable mounting method and account for the installation conditions; the listed protection and temperature figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent field-test results.
What are its power and outdoor specifications?
CamThink lists four AA batteries or Type-C power as options. The store page says four AA batteries are not included in the listed package. The quick-start guide’s preparation list includes four AA batteries and a Phillips screwdriver; check the selected package and setup instructions before installation.

What is the NE101 intended to monitor?
CamThink presents crop growth, livestock activity, industrial meter readings and equipment status, intrusion detection, and wildlife monitoring as possible application scenarios. Those examples indicate the kinds of monitoring projects the manufacturer targets; they are not independent proof of image-recognition accuracy, field reliability, communication range, or battery endurance. For a timelapse installation, verify that the selected capture settings, framing, network, and power arrangement suit the site and the interval you need.
