For a specific board’s connectors and capacity, identify the manufacturer and model: EVGA’s documented version is the 122-CK-NF67, an ATX board with support for listed LGA775 processor families and up to 8 GB of DDR2 memory.
Identify the exact 680i LT SLI board
“nForce 680i LT SLI” names NVIDIA’s platform, not one universal motherboard layout. EVGA’s documented implementation is the nForce 680i LT SLI, part number 122-CK-NF67. Before buying or repairing a used board, check the model and revision printed on the PCB and match them to the manufacturer’s specifications. The details below describe the EVGA 122-CK-NF67 unless identified as chipset-level information.
NVIDIA positioned the LT as a lower-cost way to get features from the 680i SLI MCP family, especially dual full-bandwidth x16 PCIe slots. That is the manufacturer’s product positioning, not independent evidence that the LT and standard 680i boards are identical in every respect.

These are EVGA’s listed specifications, not a compatibility test. NVIDIA’s historical platform comparison describes the chipset family as supporting LGA775 Core 2 processors, 1333* / 1066 / 800 MHz front-side bus, dual-channel DDR2 up to 800 MHz, SATA 3 Gb/s, and dual x16 SLI. The asterisk on 1333 MHz is retained from NVIDIA’s comparison; check the exact board revision and BIOS support for a particular CPU rather than assuming every listed chipset capability works with every board configuration.

CPU support: check the model, revision, and BIOS
EVGA lists the LGA775 Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium EE, and Pentium families for the 122-CK-NF67. A family-level listing does not establish compatibility for every processor in that family. Support can depend on the board revision and installed BIOS, so verify the exact processor against EVGA’s support information for the board before purchasing or attempting a swap.
Memory: DDR2 only, up to 8 GB on the EVGA board
The EVGA 122-CK-NF67 specification sheet lists dual-channel DDR2 at 533, 667, or 800 MHz and a maximum capacity of 8 GB. It is not a DDR3 or DDR4 motherboard. When sourcing replacement memory, confirm module capacity and organization against the board’s requirements; a generic DDR2 label by itself does not guarantee compatibility.

SLI and expansion: a period dual-GPU feature
The defining graphics feature is a pair of PCIe x16 slots. NVIDIA described them as full-bandwidth slots for SLI, which allowed a compatible period system to use two NVIDIA graphics cards. This is a historical capability, not a promise that two cards will work with present-day GPUs, drivers, games, or operating systems, or that a dual-card configuration will improve contemporary gaming performance.
For a retro build, confirm the exact board, graphics-card compatibility, bridge and power requirements, and operating-system driver availability as a complete system. The platform specification alone does not establish compatibility with current graphics hardware or software.

Storage and onboard connectivity
On the EVGA model, storage consists of six SATA II ports and one ATA133 connector, with RAID modes listed as 0, 1, 0+1, 5, and JBOD. It also has Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel HD audio, USB 2.0, and IEEE 1394a. These are period interfaces; the specification list does not establish support for modern operating systems or every newer peripheral.
Historical launch price and review context
EVGA announced the 122-CK-NF67 on March 26, 2007, with a launch price of $199.99 USD. That was an announced launch-era price, not a current used-market valuation.

A contemporary review published by The Register on April 30, 2007 characterized the board as a budget version of the 680i SLI and described a test setup using a Core 2 Duo E6700, Corsair XMS PC-9136 memory, GeForce 7950 GT, Western Digital Raptor drive, and Windows XP SP2. Those details describe that publication’s 2007 test configuration, not a current performance comparison.

- The nForce 680i/680i LT SLI Windows XP 32-bit package 9.53 is dated November 8, 2006. NVIDIA specifies that Windows XP requires at least Service Pack 1.
- The nForce Driver 15.58 package, dated May 2, 2011, lists Windows 7 64-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit and includes the 680i LT SLI among supported products.
Use archived drivers only after checking that the package matches the board and installed OS. The pages do not establish compatibility with a contemporary Windows installation.
What to verify before buying a used board
- Confirm the PCB identifies the board as EVGA 122-CK-NF67 and note its revision.
- Check the exact CPU against support information for that revision and BIOS.
- Inspect the board’s condition and confirm that the I/O shield and any needed accessories are included.
- Compare the actual connectors and memory capacity with your build requirements; do not assume every 680i LT SLI partner board matches EVGA’s layout.
- Check the seller’s return terms and the tested resale price. The 2007 launch price does not indicate present value.
For a comparison with a standard nForce 680i SLI or another LGA775 board, assess graphics lanes and SLI, exact CPU and BIOS support, memory type and maximum capacity, storage and other connectors, physical condition and accessories, and the seller’s price and return terms.
