To run a Samsung Galaxy routine at a set time, open Settings > Modes and Routines > Routines, tap Add (+), set a time condition under If, choose an action under Then, and save the routine. The exact labels and time controls can vary by phone and software version.
Set up a time-based routine
- Open the routine editor. Go to Settings > Modes and Routines, open Routines, then tap Add (+).
- Choose when it runs. In the If section, select the time-related condition. Use the controls shown on your phone to choose the requested time and any other available scheduling options.
- Choose what happens. In the Then section, select an action, such as a supported phone setting or app action, and configure its options.
- Save and identify it. Save the routine. Depending on your software, you may then be prompted to give it a name and icon and tap Done.
A routine pairs an If condition with a Then action. Samsung documents time as an available trigger; the specific clock-picker fields, weekday choices, or end-time controls are not consistent across all models, so follow the options displayed on your device. Samsung Gulf lists time among the available routine triggers, and Samsung US describes the If/Then routine editor.
Find Routines on different Galaxy software versions
The menu location depends on the Android version. Samsung says Android 13 and 14 place the feature under Settings > Modes and Routines; Android 11 and 12 use the Bixby Routines app. Menu names and layouts may also differ by model, software, and app version. See Samsung’s version-specific guidance.
If the routine does not run as expected
- Open the saved routine and check that its time condition and selected action are configured as intended.
- Check whether the routine appears among running routines when its conditions should be met.
- If a phone feature changes unexpectedly or becomes restricted, review previously configured routines; a routine may be responsible.
Samsung says a routine runs automatically when its set conditions are met. Its Galaxy Z Fold6 user guide describes this behavior. The available routine features depend on the device and software version.
