The collection’s results depend on the GPU, resolution, game and scene; choose a tier close to your hardware, then adjust image quality and AMD FSR 2 to suit your performance and visual-quality goals.
Official PC performance targets and requirements
Sony’s published tiers pair a target resolution, frame rate and quality preset with recommended hardware. They are estimates for orientation, not guaranteed results in every scene or on every PC. The official PC requirements and features page lists these targets:

All tiers specify Windows 10 64-bit and 126 GB of storage. The Intel minimum CPU differs between official sources: the PlayStation PC page says i5-4430, while Naughty Dog’s requirements FAQ and the September 2022 PlayStation Blog announcement say i5-4330. The other listed tiers align. Sony recommends an SSD even for the minimum tier, but that recommendation does not establish an FPS increase.
Why actual frame rates vary
The collection contains two games: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. A result from one chapter or game should not be treated as a prediction for every other sequence. The 2022 DSOGaming analysis used an early open area in Uncharted 4 for its GPU and CPU tests and reported that The Lost Legacy seemed more demanding in its initial testing. The author also noted the PC version had no built-in benchmark tool, making the chosen scene important (DSOGaming, October 24, 2022).

Historical results illustrate why the official targets are not guarantees. In a demanding opening sequence of The Lost Legacy, Notebookcheck’s 2022 test averaged 57.4 FPS at 3840×2160 Ultra on a desktop RTX 3080 with an i9-12900K, and 40.9 FPS on a desktop RTX 3070 with the same CPU. Those figures describe that review’s hardware and scene, not current systems generally (Notebookcheck, November 11, 2022).
When comparing results, check the GPU and its laptop or desktop power level, CPU, resolution, quality preset, game and scene, software version, drivers, average frame rate and low-frame metrics, and upscaling mode. Without matching conditions, two FPS numbers may not be meaningfully comparable.

Graphics and display settings you can change
The PC menu exposes controls for Texture Quality, Model Quality, Anisotropic Filtering, Shadows, Reflections and Ambient Occlusion. The collection supports 4K and ultrawide displays, as well as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2), a temporal upscaler. Compatible hardware and a compatible display are required for 4K or ultrawide use, according to PlayStation’s PC features page.
Sony does not publish one best preset for every combination of graphics card, processor, resolution and image-quality preference. Nor do the available option descriptions quantify each setting’s FPS cost. A practical approach is to begin near the official tier that matches your target, change one setting at a time, and watch performance in the same gameplay area. If you need more headroom, try FSR 2 and compare its image quality and frame rate on your own system; avoid assuming a specific setting always delivers the biggest gain.
