Buy V-Bucks only through Fortnite’s in-game store, the Epic Games Store, the Fortnite Item Shop on fortnite.com, or an official card from an authorized retailer. Before paying, check that the correct Epic account is signed in and that the purchase route works with your platform—especially if you play on Nintendo Switch.
Where to buy V-Bucks safely
Epic says it does not partner with third-party V-Bucks sellers. A deal offered through an unofficial page may take your money without delivering currency, and giving a seller your account details can put your account at risk. Epic Support says it cannot refund purchases from unauthorized sellers or grant V-Bucks for them. Use one of these authorized routes instead:

- Buy V-Bucks through Fortnite’s in-game V-Bucks store.
- Buy through the Epic Games Store.
- Buy through the Fortnite Item Shop at fortnite.com.
- Redeem an official V-Bucks card purchased from an authorized retailer.
Epic’s guidance for PlayStation and Xbox also lists the in-game Item Shop, V-Bucks cards, and the Epic Games Store as purchase routes. Whichever route you use, confirm that Fortnite is signed in to the Epic account where you want the currency credited.
How to choose a bundle
The US Epic Games Store listing showed the following prices when checked on October 4, 2026. They are live listing prices, not a permanent price schedule; check the store for the current price in your region before buying.

Choose based on the amount you actually need and are willing to spend, not the largest quantity in the list. Compare the store’s current price with the V-Bucks cost of your intended purchase, and account for the platform you plan to use. There is no universal best bundle independent of those choices. At the time checked, the Epic Store page also advertised 20% Epic Rewards on qualifying purchases through Epic’s payment system; eligibility and terms apply, and offers can change.

Check the card type before redeeming: the two cards work differently.

- Fortnite Gift Card: Adds funds to your Epic account balance. Epic says the balance can be used for eligible Fortnite purchases, including V-Bucks, Fortnite Crew, and Packs. Cards are available physically and digitally in regions listed by Epic. The card currency must match the currency of your Epic account balance. For eligible purchases, a card that does not cover the full amount may be combined with another payment method; split payment is not supported for subscriptions such as Fortnite Crew.
- Older V-Bucks card: Redeems for a stated amount of V-Bucks. Epic says these cards may still be available in some regions or local retailers while Fortnite Gift Cards roll out.
Keep the receipt until the card has been redeemed successfully. For an older V-Bucks card, sign in to the intended Epic account, check its display name and linked platform, enter the card PIN, choose the platform, and review the account, device, and new balance before confirming. PlayStation and Xbox redemptions can produce a second Sony or Microsoft code, which must also be redeemed to the linked console account.
Card territory matters too: Epic says a V-Bucks card may be rejected if the country or region where it was bought does not match the country or region on the Epic account. Check the currency and region compatibility before buying a card for yourself or as a gift.

Important: Nintendo Switch wallet limitations
Fortnite Shared Wallet is not supported on Nintendo Switch. V-Bucks purchased using Epic account balance are not usable on Switch; Epic says they can instead be spent in the web Item Shop or on a connected Shared Wallet platform such as PlayStation, Xbox, PC, mobile, or cloud gaming. Items bought with V-Bucks are available across connected platforms. The Epic Games Store listing also warns that V-Bucks purchased there are not redeemable or usable on Nintendo Switch. If Switch is your only platform, check the purchase route and where you can spend the currency before paying.

Epic recommends enabling two-factor authentication, entering accurate billing details, and using only payment methods you own or are authorized to use. Do not share account credentials or payment information with a seller. If you have already given your credentials to an unofficial seller, follow Epic’s account-security guidance to secure the account.
