Ask Gemini to list the relevant tasks, compare each one with your original note, then correct any wrong title, date, or status and verify the saved task in Google Tasks, Keep, or Calendar. Treat Gemini’s list as a draft: Google warns that Gemini can hallucinate or provide outdated information.
1. Find the tasks you need to review
In Gemini, ask for upcoming tasks, tasks for a particular date, or tasks related to the subject of your note. Google documents prompts such as “What are my upcoming tasks?” and “What are my to-dos for [time, date]?” If more than one task service is connected, identify the target with a mention such as @Google Tasks or @Samsung Reminder. See Google’s Gemini task and reminder guidance.
These prompts help you retrieve tasks to review; they do not prove that Gemini found every action in every note. Google documents creating tasks from conversation context and adding list items from a photographed list, but does not publish an extraction accuracy rate.
2. Compare each task with the original note
Open the source note, conversation, or photo and check each task against it. Review the task’s action and title, its date and time, and whether it is actually complete. Look for details Gemini may have inferred incorrectly, as well as actions that were omitted. Do not assume a plausible-looking task is accurate.

Google’s warning is direct: “Gemini Apps can hallucinate responses or provide outdated information. To check the information, click and review the sources listed after the response.” Reviewing those sources can help assess an answer, but the task itself should also be checked in the connected app.
3. Correct one task at a time
Give Gemini a specific instruction naming the task and the field to change. For example: “Change the date of [task name] task to [date].” Google also documents changing a task’s name, marking a task done, and deleting tasks by subject. - Ask Gemini to change one task or one field.
- Read the confirmation and make sure it refers to the intended task.
- Open the linked task list or the relevant app and confirm the saved title, date, or status.
For a task with several errors, correct and check each field separately. That makes it easier to spot an unintended change before moving on to the next task.
4. Undo a change you did not intend
When Gemini shows a confirmation notification for a supported action, select Undo to reverse it. You can also open the linked list and edit the item there. Google notes an exception: the notification’s Undo control cannot undo an action created with Gemini Live running in the background. 5. Edit a Google Keep reminder in the right place
Google began migrating Keep reminders to Google Tasks in the second half of 2025; new Keep reminders are saved as tasks. A migrated reminder may appear in the task list or Calendar. Look for “From Keep” in the task details and select it to return to the original note. Google explains the migration in Learn about Google Keep reminders in Google Tasks.

Google Tasks Help says it can hold up to 100,000 tasks. If Keep reminders exceed that limit, the oldest reminders do not migrate. Google also notes that a Keep reminder title that is too long is shortened after migration, location-based reminders can no longer be created or received, and old location-reminder data may remain visible in the moved task’s description.

6. Check account connections and availability
If Gemini cannot find a task or note, confirm that you are signed in to the same Google account used for the connected app, Keep Activity is on, and Google Workspace is connected for Keep and Tasks workflows. You can mention @Google Keep to direct a notes request to Keep. Google outlines the connection requirements in its help for tasks and reminders, the Google Workspace app, and Keep notes on Android.
Availability can depend on the device, account, or a Workspace administrator’s settings. These connected task and reminder apps are not available in Gemini in Google Messages. If Gemini Spark is available to you, it can find, add, update, and delete Google Tasks; Google warns that Spark may take bulk actions on private tasks without confirmation, so review a request before submitting it and verify its results in Google Tasks. 7. Verify the final saved task
Finish by checking the actual record in Google Tasks, Keep, or Calendar—not just Gemini’s reply. Confirm that the intended task changed, that its date and title are correct, and that its completion status matches the source. If something is still wrong, edit it directly in the app that holds that field.
