Chess.com announced its LinkedIn integration on September 29, 2026. Members can select up to two Chess.com stats to display in LinkedIn’s connected apps section. The connection is initiated from Chess.com account settings, not from a general Chess.com privacy or profile-editing control. The announcement specifies a desktop or mobile web browser for connecting, and does not document a precise disconnect sequence.
Disconnect Chess.com from LinkedIn
- Sign in to Chess.com and open your account settings.
- Go to Connections and find the LinkedIn connection. Use the disconnect or revoke control shown in the current interface. Chess.com identifies Connections as the place to link the account but does not publish the exact unlink control label. See the connection instructions from Chess.com.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and review the connected apps section of your profile. If Chess.com is still listed, remove or revoke it there if LinkedIn presents that option.
- Revisit your LinkedIn profile and check whether the stats are gone. No specific propagation time is published, so check again later if they remain visible.
Choose the right LinkedIn visibility setting
Disconnecting Chess.com addresses the integration display. LinkedIn’s other visibility controls have different purposes and are not documented as substitutes for disconnecting this app.

Controls that will not remove the integration
Profile-edit notifications
Turning off profile-update notifications changes whether certain edits are shared with your network; it does not hide saved profile content. LinkedIn says profile viewers can see edits as soon as they are saved even when network sharing is off. LinkedIn: profile-update notifications.
Deleting posts or comments
LinkedIn Activity controls are for reviewing and deleting eligible posts and comments. They do not disconnect the Chess.com app or remove its connected-app stats. Use them only if you separately posted the Chess.com information as activity. LinkedIn: manage activity.
