Yes—but only if the mouse supports multiple device channels and lets you switch between them. Pair each computer or tablet to a separate channel, then use the mouse’s selector button or supported software to choose which device receives input. A mouse that supports Bluetooth pairing does not automatically support switching between several paired devices.
Pairing and switching are different
Pairing saves a connection between the mouse and a host device. Switching selects which already-paired host the mouse controls. A mouse can pair with a computer over Bluetooth yet lack extra channels or a convenient way to switch between hosts. Check the exact model’s documentation for both its channel count and switching method.
How many devices can one Bluetooth mouse connect to?
It depends on the mouse model; there is no universal Bluetooth-mouse limit. Microsoft says its Surface Precision Mouse can pair with up to three devices. Logitech’s Signature M750 instructions describe three Easy-Switch channels. Those are model-specific capabilities, not a count that applies to every Bluetooth mouse.
How to connect a Bluetooth mouse to another device
- Check the mouse’s documentation. Confirm that it supports multiple device channels and find the model-specific pairing instructions.
- Select an unused channel and start pairing mode. The button sequence varies. For example, Logitech’s Signature M750 instructions say to short-press its Connect button to select another channel, then hold it if needed to start Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Pair from the second host’s Bluetooth settings. Turn on Bluetooth, make the mouse discoverable, select it from the device list, and follow any on-screen prompts. For Windows, see Microsoft’s Bluetooth pairing instructions.
- Switch to the desired host. Choose the channel paired with that device. The mouse’s instructions explain how; Microsoft, for example, says to press the Bluetooth Pairing button on Surface Precision Mouse after Smart Switch setup.
Use the manufacturer’s instructions for the exact mouse: button names and pairing steps differ by model.

Choose a switching method and connection type
Many multi-device mice switch hosts with a button that selects a stored channel. Some setups also offer software-assisted switching. Logitech Flow describes moving the cursor to the screen edge to switch between computers; its setup requires the computers to be paired and connected to the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. This is different from selecting a channel with a button.
Connection options can also vary by channel. Logitech’s MK955/MK950 quick-start guide says Bluetooth works on all three Easy-Switch keys, while a Logi Bolt receiver can be used on only one. Check the exact model’s instructions rather than assuming Bluetooth and receiver support are identical.

What to check before choosing a mouse
- Channel count: How many hosts can the mouse store?
- Switching method: Does it use a button, software, or both?
- Connection type per channel: Does each channel support Bluetooth, a vendor receiver, or both?
- Host compatibility: Does the mouse work with the operating systems on the computers or tablets you plan to use?
For model-specific examples, Microsoft documents the Surface Precision Mouse as supporting up to three devices, and Logitech describes three channels in its Signature M750 instructions. Check the current documentation for your model before relying on a specific connection or compatibility feature.
