Samsung lists it as an S12 Ultra accessory and specifies 1.8% low reflectance. That figure describes reflectance—not S Pen friction, writing feel, or scratch protection—so compare those qualities separately before choosing.
What is confirmed about the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Samsung’s protector?
Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S12 series on September 30, 2026. The S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch, 2960 × 1848, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, and Samsung says an S Pen is included. Samsung also lists an Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector as an accessory for the S12 Ultra. Samsung’s announcement describes the S Pen as bundled for note-taking and precise editing; that product description is not a test of how the pen feels on a protected screen.
On its Ireland product specification page, Samsung describes the compatible protector as having “1.8% low reflectance.” This is Samsung’s stated figure for that accessory in 2026, not an independently measured comparison. Check Samsung Ireland’s specification, and confirm the accessory name and availability in your own region.
How should you choose a protector for S Pen use?
First confirm the fit, then decide which surface and display trade-offs matter for your use. A listing that says “S Pen compatible” does not establish that its surface will feel smooth, textured, or paper-like to you.

- [Important Note]:Since the edge of the screen is rounded, the Tempered Glass Protective Film only covers the flat area, the protector is narrower than the screen of the actual device (about 1mm), so there will be no unnecessary bubbles on the edge, and will not lift when wearing your favorite Samsung Galaxy Tab S12/S11 Ultra/S10 Ultra/S9 Ultra case
- [SUPERIOR PROTECTION]:5 times tempering time, effectively protect the device screen from high impact drops, scratches, scrapes and bumps. The special oil-repellent coating easily resists oil smudges, fingerprints and other stains, keeping your screen always clean and fresh
- [High Response and High Transparency]:99% transparency can present the best color, providing your phone with the most original screen texture. The special silicone adhesive layer, highly clear ultra-thin screen guard maintains your screen's original touchscreen sensitivity for quick response to every action
- [Excellent detail design]: The 2.5D rounded edge provides a more comfortable feel than the traditional right-angled edge without hurting your fingers; Smooth-Slide technology (repeated 50+ ultra-thin coatings on high-quality tempered glass) fingers slide on the protector, As free as your original Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 screen

- Match the exact tablet model. Search for “Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra screen protector” and check that the listing names the S12 Ultra explicitly. The available official sources do not establish that protectors made for the S9, S10, or S11 Ultra fit this model. Check the cutouts and dimensions shown by the seller rather than relying on a family name or a broad “Ultra” label.
- Choose the surface by the property you want. Samsung’s stated low-reflectance figure supports considering its anti-reflecting accessory if reflections are a concern. For any protector, look for specific evidence about glare, display clarity and color, and S Pen friction or texture. Treat words such as “paper-like” as a surface description to verify, not proof of a particular writing experience.
- Check protection and wear claims independently. Review what the maker says about scratches or impacts, and whether it provides evidence for those claims. For frequent writing or drawing, also check whether the protector or S Pen tip may wear with use. The official pages cited here do not provide comparative scratch-resistance, durability, or tip-wear results.
- Assess installation and purchase terms. Check whether the package includes an alignment frame or other installation tools, and read the seller’s warranty and return terms. These details can matter if installation is difficult or the surface does not suit your pen use; they are not established by Samsung’s accessory specifications.
What is—and is not—known about Samsung’s anti-reflecting option?
The official information establishes the accessory’s S12 Ultra model association and Samsung’s 1.8% low-reflectance description. It does not report comparative S Pen glide or friction, writing feel, tip wear, scratch resistance, display clarity, installation difficulty, or durability results. That means Samsung’s product is a clear model-specific candidate, but the cited specifications alone cannot tell you whether its surface will match your preferred feel for notes, annotation, or drawing.
How to check a third-party listing before buying
- Confirm the product title or compatibility details explicitly name the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.
- Check that the product images and specifications match the tablet’s display and front-camera layout.
- Look for a clear description of finish and any evidence supporting claims about glare, clarity, writing texture, or protection.
- Check installation instructions, included alignment tools, warranty, and return policy.
- Verify current stock and price with the retailer; availability and terms can change by country and over time.
Samsung’s official U.S. announcement also lists the accessory, but regional naming, stock, and purchase terms may differ. See Samsung U.S. Newsroom’s September 30, 2026 announcement for its U.S. product information.
