To get a Five Nights at Freddy’s outfit in Fortnite, check the official Item Shop and buy it if it is currently offered. Playing a FNAF-themed Creative island does not, by itself, unlock an outfit for your Locker. Epic announced FNAF outfits in the Shop on October 1, 2026; because Shop listings change, confirm what is available now at the official Fortnite Item Shop.
Does a Fortnite Creative map unlock FNAF outfits?
Not simply because it is FNAF-themed. Epic’s Fortnitemares 2026 announcement distinguishes between outfits available in the Shop and event content featuring FNAF animatronic bosses. It does not say that playing a Creative map grants those outfits. Don’t rely on a map as an outfit-unlock method unless Epic or the island’s creator documents that specific reward.
Epic announced on October 1, 2026: “Outfits from Five Nights at Freddy’s show battle damage and are live in the Shop now.” That announcement establishes Shop availability at the time; it does not guarantee that an outfit remains listed today. Read Epic’s Fortnitemares 2026 announcement.
How to get a FNAF outfit

Open the official Fortnite Item Shop.

Will an owned outfit work in every Creative island?
No. Owning an outfit does not guarantee that every island can display it. Epic says a small portion of outfits and accessories are incompatible with islands below certain rating thresholds. Compatibility indicators appear in the Locker and Item Shop. Check those indicators for the specific outfit and island rather than assuming it will work everywhere. Read Epic’s Fortnite Cosmetic Compatibility guidance.
Shop cosmetics and island-specific features are different
| Route | Where it comes from | Where it applies | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Locker outfit | Fortnite Item Shop, when offered | Across modes and islands where the cosmetic is compatible | Current Shop listing and compatibility indicators |
| Island-specific entitlement or feature | Within a particular island, if offered | Only in the island where the entitlement was purchased; some features depend on developer settings | Whether the island developer enabled the feature and the terms shown in that island |
Epic specifically says Sidekicks require the island developer to enable them, and in-island entitlements are available only in the island where they were purchased. These are not the same as globally owned Locker cosmetics. Epic’s compatibility guidance covers these island-specific conditions.

If you create a FNAF-themed island
Epic permits creators to use Epic-owned assets made available in UEFN, but says creators may not use recreated or otherwise obtained Epic-owned assets in an island or its metadata without permission. That rule concerns Epic-owned assets; it does not establish permission to use FNAF materials belonging to another rights holder. Review Epic’s rules for using Epic-owned assets in an island.
