Muslim Pro is the strongest documented choice if you specifically want an Android lock-screen widget: its support page describes both home-screen and lock-screen widget options. Athan by IslamicFinder and Muslim Pillars advertise Hijri-calendar features and home-screen prayer widgets, but their cited listings do not confirm lock-screen support. Android’s lock-screen options also vary by phone, so verify the feature on your device before relying on it.
Which Islamic calendar apps support Android lock screens?
For an “Islamic calendar app for Android lock screen,” distinguish three different placements: a widget on the lock screen, a widget on the home screen, and a persistent notification. A listing that says only “widget” does not establish lock-screen compatibility.
| App | What official information documents | Lock-screen evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Muslim Pro | Android home-screen and lock-screen widget options, including prayer-time and prayer-tracking information; it also documents a persistent notification. | Its Android widget support page explicitly discusses lock-screen display. Availability can still depend on the phone and Android interface. |
| Athan by IslamicFinder | Hijri and Islamic calendar features, Islamic events, Umm al-Qura calendar, Ramadan timetable information, and a prayer-times widget for the mobile home screen. | The Google Play listing does not confirm an Android lock-screen widget. |
| Muslim Pillars | Hijri calendar and prayer-time widgets that show the next Salah on the home screen; the listing also describes Quran, Qibla, prayer tracking, and Ramadan and fasting tracking. | The Google Play listing does not identify lock-screen widgets. |
Muslim Pro: the documented lock-screen option
Muslim Pro’s Android widget instructions describe widgets for both the home screen and lock screen. The documented information includes prayer times based on location and a daily prayer tracker. The setup flow starts in the app’s Today page: open All Features, find Widget under Utility, then follow the in-app widget help flow.
Location, refresh, and access conditions
- Muslim Pro says location services are needed for optimal results. If location is disabled, alternative displays may appear.
- The support page says free users may see prayer times behind a padlock and can watch an ad to unlock them. It also says prayer times may require opening the app and browsing once daily to refresh.
- Users with full Premium entitlement can access the displayed prayer times directly, according to the same support page.
These are vendor-documented access details, not a guarantee that every widget placement or refresh behavior will work identically across Android phones. Check the current in-app instructions and entitlement details before choosing the app for a particular use.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Persistent notification is not a lock-screen widget
Muslim Pro separately documents an Android persistent notification widget. It shows the day’s prayer timeline, can indicate location when location settings are enabled, and changes color with the current prayer time. This can provide quick access, but it is a notification surface—not proof that the same information is available as a lock-screen widget. The support page says free users need to tap View Time to see the timing within the app.
Athan by IslamicFinder: a calendar-rich home-screen alternative
The Athan Google Play listing describes an Islamic or Hijri calendar, Islamic events, an Umm al-Qura calendar, Ramadan timetable information, and a prayer-times widget on the mobile home screen. That makes it a relevant option if calendar features and home-screen access matter more than a confirmed lock-screen widget.

- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
The listing does not establish Android lock-screen placement. It also identifies in-app purchases and an Athan Pro ad-free subscription; check the current Play listing for the terms that apply to your region and version.

“Android lock screen” is not one uniform widget surface. Google says At a Glance can appear on the lock screen on some Android devices, and that the full At a Glance experience is available on Pixel devices running Android 12 and later. That information describes At a Glance, not support for Islamic calendar apps; it illustrates why phone model and software matter. See Google’s At a Glance help page, then check your handset maker’s widget settings and the app’s own current instructions.

How to choose and verify an app on your phone
- Confirm the placement you need. Look for documentation that explicitly says lock-screen widget if you want information visible there. Home-screen widgets and persistent notifications are different features.
- Check the displayed information. Decide whether you need the Hijri date, upcoming prayer, complete prayer schedule, or Islamic calendar events. A prayer widget is not necessarily a Hijri-date widget.
- Review permissions and updates. If prayer times depend on location, allow the relevant location access and check whether the app refreshes as expected on your phone.
- Check access requirements. Review whether the feature is limited by ads, a locked widget, or a paid entitlement in the app’s current support information and store listing.
- Test on the actual device. Check the phone’s lock-screen and widget settings, then confirm the app’s widget appears and displays the information you need. Compatibility is not established for every Android version, manufacturer interface, or handset by the cited listings.
