The A56 is a sensible first model to investigate if you want a current Samsung midrange phone. The announced battery capacity is not a battery-life test: Samsung notes that typical capacity is laboratory-derived and actual endurance varies with network, use and other factors. The listed camera hardware also does not establish real-world photo quality.

Galaxy A36 5G: another A-series option
Samsung lists the A36 5G with the same 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display size and a 50MP main camera with OIS, and identifies its platform as Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Samsung’s A-series announcement gives the same up-to-six-generations-of-OS-and-One-UI-upgrades and six-years-of-security-updates commitment for eligible devices.
