Enter NBA 2K Locker Codes in the game under MyTEAM or MyCAREER; the menu path depends on the mode and promotion. To check whether a code has expired, look at the original promotion announcement: codes may have a deadline or a redemption cap, and there is no universal expiration date or general status lookup.
Where to enter an NBA 2K Locker Code
NBA 2K Support’s general instructions, updated July 1, 2025, give these in-game routes. Menu labels can differ by version or promotion.

- From the main menu, open MyTEAM or MyCAREER.
- In MyTEAM, select MyTEAM Community Hub. Some promotion-specific instructions instead direct players to Market; follow the instructions for the code you are redeeming.
- In MyCAREER, open Options/Quit while in the Neighborhood or City.
- Select Locker Codes, enter the code with every hyphen, then submit it. Codes are not case-sensitive according to the Twitch Drops guide, but hyphens are required.
These are in-game instructions, not a universal app-based redemption method. If you cannot find the option, check the instructions for the specific promotion and your NBA 2K version.
How to tell whether a Locker Code has expired
NBA 2K Support describes three types of Locker Codes. The individual code’s announcement or promotion terms determine whether a deadline or redemption cap applies.

The general support article does not provide a universal code-status lookup. If the promotion gives no deadline or cap, its exact expiration cannot be confirmed from that article. Avoid relying on old code lists as evidence that a code still works. 2K says it cannot assist with claims about limited codes after their limits take effect.
If a code does not work or the reward is missing
- Check the characters and punctuation: include every hyphen, and look closely at characters that can be confused, such as 0 and O or 1, L and i.
- Consider whether it was already redeemed: 2K says a code can be redeemed only once per console. A repeat attempt on that console may produce an error.
- Check the promotion limit: a code can become unavailable after a time deadline or a redemption cap, so an error does not by itself prove which limit applied.
- If redemption appeared successful but nothing showed up: restart the game and make sure it is up to date. If the reward is a pack, locate and open it; its contents may not be awarded until you do.
- Be aware of connection failures: 2K says a timeout can consume a code without adding content, and generally does not provide compensation for an unsuccessful redemption.
- Check what the offer promises: many code rewards can be random rather than guaranteed unless the promotion says otherwise.
Extra steps for Twitch Drops and NBA ID rewards
Twitch Drops
For a Twitch Drop, first claim the reward on Twitch, then retrieve its code through the linked promotion flow and redeem it in NBA 2K. The official guide says the code can take up to 24 hours to appear after the claim. Its MyTEAM instructions may use the Market route.

For an NBA ID-linked code, find the reward in the Benefits area of the NBA ID Member Hub and follow that offer’s redemption instructions. NBA 2K Support notes that a 2K Account and an NBA ID account are separate accounts; linking or signing into one does not make them the same account.
