Star Wars: Galactic Racer is listed for release on October 6, 2026, so there are no verified launch settings or tested fixes for low FPS and stuttering yet. Official listings provide minimum PC requirements and broad console capability labels, but not a settings-by-settings performance guide. Here is what is confirmed—and what you should avoid assuming until the game is available.

Are there confirmed settings for smoother gameplay?

Not yet. The official PC and console listings do not identify graphics options, recommended values, or a selectable performance mode. They also do not report benchmarks or explain how to fix frame drops or stuttering. Treat any specific advice about turning down shadows, changing an upscaler, or choosing a named mode as unverified unless it is supported by post-release testing.

Steam lists October 6, 2026 as the PC release date, and the US PlayStation page lists the same date for PS5. Because the listed date is still ahead, settings, patches, and actual launch performance may change.

What PC specifications are confirmed?

Steam’s listing gives these minimum requirements. They are a published baseline, not a guarantee of smooth gameplay: the page does not connect the specifications to a resolution or frame-rate target.

Graphics Nvidia RTX 2060, Intel Arc A580, or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT 6GB
Storage 50 GB available space; SSD required

The listing does not state recommended PC specifications, a target resolution, a target frame rate, supported upscaling, or a graphics preset. Minimum requirements alone do not reveal a specific bottleneck, so they are not a reason by themselves to buy a GPU, SSD, or other upgrade.

What performance information is available for consoles?

PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro

The PlayStation listing identifies PS5 availability and labels the game “PS5 Pro Enhanced.” It also describes visual-comfort options that let players avoid camera movements and effects during gameplay and cinematics. The listing does not say those options improve frame rate, nor does it specify a performance mode or resolution/frame-rate combination.

Xbox Series X|S

The Xbox store lists the game as optimized for Series X|S and includes “4K Ultra HD,” “HDR10,” and “60 fps+” capability labels. These are storefront capability labels, not independent performance measurements. The listing does not explain how the capabilities apply separately to Series X and Series S, or whether players can select performance and quality modes.

What to do if you are preparing to play on PC

  • Compare your PC with the published minimum requirements, but do not treat a match as a promise of smooth play at a particular resolution or frame rate.
  • Leave room for the listed 50 GB of storage and note that the listing requires an SSD.
  • Wait for the game’s actual graphics menu and platform-specific guidance before following recommendations for settings that are not yet documented.
  • Avoid purchasing hardware solely on the assumption that it will fix this game’s performance; the official listing does not identify tested bottlenecks or upgrade recommendations.

How to judge post-launch performance advice

A useful settings guide should identify its platform and hardware, use repeatable race scenes, and report more than an average frame rate. Look for resolution and upscaling details, average and 1% low FPS, frame-time consistency, visual clarity, and whether a setting changes CPU or GPU load. Console coverage should distinguish PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and Series S rather than treating their capabilities as interchangeable. Until such testing is published, no exact setting can responsibly be presented as a proven fix for this game.
