To set up a racing wheel for an arcade racing game, first confirm that your exact wheel version works with your console or PC and the specific game. Then connect the pedals and power, plug in USB, let startup calibration finish, and check steering, pedals, and buttons in the game’s input settings. Begin with the game’s defaults and adjust one control at a time.
1. Check compatibility before connecting or buying
Wheel support depends on the exact model variant, platform, and game. A wheel name alone is not enough: console versions may differ, and compatibility with one game does not establish compatibility with another. Check the manufacturer’s current list for your hardware and title. Logitech’s G923/G29/G920 compatibility information is organized by platform and includes examples such as Forza Horizon 5 and GRID Legends. It applies to those Logitech wheel families, not every wheel or arcade racer.
For a Logitech G923, use setup instructions for the correct version. The cited quick-start guide covers Xbox One and PC; Logitech also has a separate PlayStation/PC guide. Do not assume a diagram or platform label for one variant applies to another.
2. Mount and connect the wheel
Prepare a stable setup
Secure the wheel to a stable desk or suitable mount, and position the pedals so they will not slide when pressed. A wheel stand or desk mount is optional; the essential point is that the wheel and pedals remain steady during use.

Connect the hardware in the order shown by its guide
- Attach the pedal set to the wheel base.
- Connect the power adapter to the wheel and a power outlet.
- Connect the wheel’s USB cable to the target console or computer.
Follow the connection diagram supplied for your exact model. Logitech’s G923 Xbox One/PC quick-start guide shows the pedal, power, and USB connections; use the matching PlayStation guide if you have that version.
3. Let startup calibration finish
When powered, many wheels rotate through a startup calibration. Keep the wheel unobstructed and let the movement finish rather than holding or forcing it. Logitech’s G923 guide says the wheel is ready after calibration completes. If calibration does not finish, check that the wheel has power and that the connections match the guide for your model before trying again.

4. Confirm the game sees every control
Open the game’s controller or input settings. If it offers a device selector, choose the wheel. Test steering, accelerator, brake, and any buttons you plan to use; check that each input registers and that the pedals are assigned correctly. Menu names and device-selection steps vary by game, so there is no single path that applies to every title. If the game does not respond, revisit the compatibility list and the game’s own support instructions before changing advanced settings.

Start with the game’s defaults
There is no universal sensitivity, steering range, dead-zone, or force-feedback value established for all arcade racers. Begin with the game’s defaults, drive a short test, and change one setting by a small amount at a time. This makes it easier to tell whether the change improved control or made it worse. Use the game’s manual or official support guidance for title-specific controls.

Adjust a G923 on PC with G HUB
For a G923 connected to a PC, Logitech says steering sensitivity can be adjusted in Logitech G HUB and customized by game profile. See Logitech’s G923 sensitivity instructions. This is a G923-specific software control, not a recommended setting for every wheel or game.
Check support for advanced feedback
Basic wheel compatibility does not guarantee that every advanced feedback feature is available in a particular game. Logitech describes TRUEFORCE as relying on supported-game integration. Verify support for the exact title using Logitech’s TRUEFORCE information rather than assuming the feature will work wherever the wheel itself is listed.

Quick troubleshooting checks
- The game does not detect the wheel: verify the exact wheel variant and game compatibility, check USB and power connections, and let startup calibration complete.
- A pedal or button does not respond: confirm the pedal cable is connected to the wheel and inspect the game’s input assignments.
- Steering feels too sensitive or sluggish: adjust sensitivity or related controls in small increments, testing between changes. On a PC G923, G HUB offers a per-game sensitivity adjustment.
- Force feedback feels different from expected: check the game’s own settings and whether it supports the wheel’s specific feedback features.
