Completing “In the Eternal Fire’s Shadow” unlocks the Forgotten Wolven crafting diagrams: boots, armor, gauntlets, a silver sword, and a steel sword. Geralt receives diagrams, not a finished gear set, so you must craft the pieces. The quest also starts a separate scavenger hunt for more Forgotten Wolf School Gear diagrams.
What rewards does the quest give you?
The main reward is a set of Forgotten Wolven equipment crafting diagrams. CD PROJEKT RED describes the rewards as inspired by Netflix’s The Witcher series. The five pieces listed in quest guides are:

These are crafting plans, not completed items placed in Geralt’s inventory. You’ll need to craft the gear from its diagrams and required materials. CD PROJEKT RED’s Next-Gen Update announcement identifies the quest as new side-quest content in Velen.
Does the quest unlock more diagrams later?
Yes. Completing the Devil’s Pit quest also opens a separate Forgotten Wolf School Gear scavenger hunt. That follow-up sends you to Kaer Morhen for additional diagrams; those later rewards are distinct from the five pieces tied to the immediate quest reward. Where is the quest, and what level should you be?
The quest takes place at Devil’s Pit in Velen. Guides recommend roughly level 14 or 15, but that is advice for tackling the quest, not a confirmed hard level requirement. The sources do not establish a fixed crown payment, so don’t count on a particular amount as part of the reward.
