Choose the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless if you want more features, including active noise cancellation (ANC), Bluetooth, a control DAC, and a two-battery system. Choose the Astro A50 Gen 4 if comfort and microphone performance matter more: RTINGS’ direct comparison favors the A50 in both areas. The better gaming headset depends on your priorities—and, for console buyers, the exact version you choose.
At a glance
| Priority | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Features and controls | Arctis Nova Pro Wireless | RTINGS reports ANC, Bluetooth, a DAC for on-the-fly adjustment, two battery packs, and more extensive companion-software customization. RTINGS’ comparison was updated June 23, 2026 for the Nova. |
| Comfort and microphone | Astro A50 Gen 4 | RTINGS favors the A50 for comfort and overall microphone performance. Fit and voice-chat needs are personal, so those results are guidance rather than a guarantee for every player. |
| Battery information | Depends on how you value the figures | Logitech advertises 15+ hours for the A50 Gen 4; RTINGS describes close to 50 hours of total playback from the Nova’s two included batteries. These are different publishers’ figures, not results from a matched test. |
| Console connections | Match the model to your console | Only the Nova Pro Wireless for Xbox has a dedicated Xbox port. The other USB port is flexible for PC, PlayStation 4/5, Switch, and Mac. |
Which headset has the better features?
The Nova Pro Wireless is the stronger choice if you want more ways to manage audio and connect devices. RTINGS’ direct comparison identifies ANC, Bluetooth, a control DAC, two battery packs, and broader companion-software customization among its advantages over the A50 Gen 4. Those features can make the Nova appealing if you switch between devices or want more control without relying only on headset buttons.
The A50 Gen 4 takes a simpler base-station-centered approach. Logitech says the headset includes a base station and supports audio and voice settings through Astro Command Center software. That covers key setup and adjustment needs, but RTINGS reports a narrower feature set than the Nova’s.
Which is more comfortable and better for voice chat?
RTINGS’ comparison favors the A50 Gen 4 for both comfort and overall microphone performance. That makes it the more promising starting point if you wear a headset for long sessions or spend a lot of time in team chat.

How do their battery figures compare?
Logitech lists the A50 Gen 4’s rechargeable lithium-ion battery as providing 15+ hours on its product page. RTINGS describes the Nova Pro Wireless’ two included batteries as providing close to 50 hours of total playback in its comparison updated June 23, 2026. Because the figures come from different sources and are not presented as a matched test, they should not be read as a direct head-to-head battery measurement.
