The policy comparison below is for the United States; listings, shipping, taxes, and consumer protections can differ by location.
How to compare the same component fairly
Start with the exact model or part number, not just a broad product name. A graphics card with a similar name may have a different model, condition, seller, or warranty. Then compare the final checkout total for delivery to your address, alongside the return and warranty terms shown for that specific offer.
- Match the part and condition. Check the manufacturer part number and whether the item is new, open-box, or otherwise described.
- Identify the seller and fulfillment. On either marketplace, distinguish a retailer-sold offer from a third-party seller’s offer. Note who ships it and where a return must go.
- Compare the delivered total. Use the price and shipping estimate at checkout for your address; include any membership benefit only if it applies to you.
- Read the listing’s return details. Confirm the deadline, eligible reasons, item-condition rules, possible fees, and return-label responsibility.
- Verify the manufacturer’s warranty. Check coverage for the exact component and the process for making a claim.
The retailer policies reviewed here do not establish that either store is generally cheaper, nor do they provide a matched live-price comparison.
What the policies establish—and what to check on each listing

Newegg returns: category rules can matter for PC parts
Newegg’s US return policy lists 15 days for some computer categories, including desktop PCs, notebooks, and monitors, and 30 days for “all other products.” That does not mean every PC component automatically has 30 days: check the exact item. Amazon returns: treat 30 days as a general rule, not a guarantee for every part
Amazon Seller Central’s US guidance says most items can be returned for a refund or replacement within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, but warns that a product category can have a different period. Amazon’s customer policy also says that when a third-party seller fulfills and ships its own inventory, the item is returned to that seller. Warranty coverage is separate from the retailer’s return window
A retailer return period is the time allowed to send an item back under the applicable return terms. A manufacturer’s warranty is a separate route for service or replacement under the manufacturer’s coverage. Do not infer warranty length or claim eligibility from the retailer’s return window.

Newegg says most products it sells have both return coverage and manufacturer warranty details, but that does not make coverage identical across listings. Newegg warranties, specs, and manufacturer contact For Amazon, confirm the warranty terms with the exact product and seller; the cited Amazon policy material does not establish a universal warranty promise for component offers.
