Astonishia Story is listed as an upcoming Nintendo Switch game with support on Nintendo Switch 2, but Nintendo’s listing does not publish its button controls or detailed combat rules. The confirmed basics: it is a single-player RPG with grid-based battles and recruitable allies. Nintendo currently lists February 11, 2027 as its digital release date; check the store listing for changes before launch.
Is Astonishia Story a Switch 2 game?
Nintendo lists Astonishia Story for Nintendo Switch and marks it as supported on Nintendo Switch 2, with behavior consistent with Nintendo Switch. That describes Switch software running with Switch 2 support; Nintendo does not list a separate Switch 2 edition.
The US store listing gives the digital game a February 11, 2027 release date. As of October 4, 2026, that date is in the future, so the game is upcoming. Release timing and availability can change.
What are the controls?
Nintendo’s listing does not include a button diagram, and an authoritative control layout for this Switch release is not established. Specific button-by-button instructions would therefore be guesswork.

How does combat work?
The publisher-provided description confirms that battles are grid-based and that recruiting allies is part of the adventure. It does not explain the turn sequence, movement limits, attack range, terrain, abilities, or enemy behavior, so those details cannot yet be stated reliably for the Switch version.
