For a compatible Huawei phone, the documented way to move data from an iPhone is Huawei’s Phone Clone app. On the Huawei phone, choose iPhone/iPad as the old device, then follow the prompts to connect the iPhone to the Huawei phone’s temporary Wi-Fi hotspot and select the data categories Phone Clone offers.
Huawei’s official support material reviewed does not verify the exact Mate 90 RS model or its software, so its menus and supported data may differ. Check the model and system version under Settings > About phone and confirm the available Phone Clone options before starting.
What Phone Clone can transfer from an iPhone
Huawei’s general Phone Clone guidance lists contacts, calendar items, images, and videos. Its iPhone-to-Huawei guidance specifies contacts, calendar events, camera photos, and camera videos; it does not support other data and apps through that iPhone transfer path. The categories shown on your receiving phone may depend on its software version.

Huawei’s China-market instructions for devices running HarmonyOS 5.x and above describe a separate feature, 换机无忧, that can handle broader categories including iCloud data. The instructions also say Phone Clone does not migrate iCloud data. This is a specific China-market feature and is not confirmed for the Mate 90 RS, so do not rely on it unless Huawei confirms it is available for your model and region.
Before you start
- Check the destination phone’s model and system version in Settings > About phone. Huawei’s available documentation does not establish the Mate 90 RS’s release status, region, or installed software.
- Install or open Phone Clone on both phones when prompted. Huawei’s setup instructs users to download and open the app on the iPhone.
- Keep both phones nearby and follow their on-screen instructions. The documented connection is wireless; no cable or adapter is required for this route.
Move data with Phone Clone
- On the Huawei phone, open Phone Clone. If needed, use Settings to find and open Phone Clone.
- Choose the option indicating that this is the new phone, then select iPhone/iPad as the old device type.
- Follow the Huawei phone’s prompt to install and open Phone Clone on the iPhone, then start the old-device flow there.
- When prompted, open the iPhone’s Wi-Fi settings and join the WLAN hotspot displayed by the Huawei phone. Return to Phone Clone once connected.
- Select the categories available in the app and tap its transfer control. Keep the phones connected and follow the completion status shown on screen.
- After completion, check the Huawei phone’s contacts, calendar, photos, and videos to confirm what arrived.
Huawei says the transfer itself does not require WLAN internet access or mobile data; the iPhone connects directly to the Huawei phone’s hotspot. Huawei describes the connection as private and encrypted. That is Huawei’s description, not an independent security assessment.

How long will the transfer take?
Huawei advertises speeds of “up to 8 GB per minute,” based on its lab test environments; the page gives no publication year and says actual experience varies by device. Treat this as a vendor maximum, not a likely speed or a reliable basis for estimating your transfer time.

The official sources reviewed do not confirm the Mate 90 RS’s menus, system version, or regional software. If the steps differ, check the phone’s About phone screen and consult Huawei support for that exact model and market. Use the Phone Clone choices shown on your device, and do not assume that a feature documented for another Huawei model or region is available on yours.

Huawei’s global Phone Clone page says the app is “designed to work with any Android or iOS device,” but Huawei also notes that transferred data depends on the receiving device’s software version and that wireless transfer experiences vary. Follow the options actually presented on the destination phone.
