Should you buy games or use a subscription?
GOG, Epic Games Store, and itch.io are storefront or marketplace options for buying games. PC Game Pass is a subscription access option, not an equivalent purchase model. If you are choosing between buying a particular game and subscribing, confirm that the game is currently in the catalog, that the service is available in your region, and what the current subscription terms are. Playnite for library organization
Playnite describes itself as a video game library manager. It is relevant if your main problem is keeping games from different sources organized, rather than finding another place to buy them. A library manager does not replace the storefront or the access terms attached to a game.
