First identify whether the mod replaces game files, changes textures through Resorep, or adds scripts through BmSDK; then follow that mod’s own instructions. The paths below are community workflows, not official Rocksteady support, and BmSDK currently supports Steam copies only.
Choose the installation method that matches the mod
Mod pages in the Arkham Knight Nexus catalog cover different types of changes, and their dependencies are not interchangeable. Check the description, requirements, and files before downloading. Use this guide to identify the likely route, not to override instructions supplied with a particular mod.

Prepare a safe, reversible install
- Read the mod’s page and included instructions. Note required frameworks, dependencies, exact destination paths, and any stated conflicts.
- Keep the original files safe. Before replacing anything, copy the target files or directory to a separate backup location. Keep the downloaded archive as well.
- Record what you change. For each mod, save its source page, archive, version, install date, dependencies, and the files or directories it changes. This makes later removal and troubleshooting more manageable.
- Install one mod at a time. Launch the game after each change and note the result. If a problem appears, you can focus on the most recent mod rather than guessing among several simultaneous changes.
Install file-based DLC mods
These mods provide files to place in a game directory, but the archive structure and destination can vary. Do not assume every downloaded folder should be merged into the game or that every mod belongs in the same DLC directory.
- Download the archive from the mod’s page and inspect its included instructions and folder structure.
- Extract the files and use the destination specified by that mod. Preserve a copy of any files that will be overwritten.
- If using ArkhamModDownloader, note that its documented Arkham Knight target is
DLC356474. The community tool says it moves detected UPK conflicts and optional files to a separate folder; that describes the tool’s behavior, not a rule for all mods. - Start the game and check the changed content before installing another mod.
Install a texture replacement with Resorep
Texture mods can use their own tools and settings. One Arkham Knight texture overhaul instructs users to install Resorep, set Texture Resolution to High, and place downloaded textures in Resorep’s modded folder.

- Set Texture Resolution to High if the mod’s instructions require it.
- Place that mod’s downloaded textures in Resorep’s
moddedfolder, as specified by the cited mod. - Launch the game and check the textures. Do not assume another texture mod uses Resorep or the same settings.
Install a BmSDK script mod
BmSDK-AK is a community C# scripting framework. Its current repository notice says it supports Steam copies only, so do not assume it works with Epic or GOG versions. The project warns: “Keep in mind that script mods can potentially harm your computer.” Download scripts only from sources you trust.
- Confirm that your game is a Steam copy and check the BmSDK repository for the current release and instructions.
- Use the project’s installer or, for manual installation, download the release archive and copy its
BinariesandBmGamefolders into the game directory as directed by the project. - Put scripts in
BmGameScripts. Consult the BmSDK first-mod guide for the framework’s description of loose.csscripts and game package files underBmGameCookedPCConsole. - Install only the script mod’s stated dependencies, then start the game and check that it works before adding another script.
Remove a mod or troubleshoot a problem
Undo a file replacement
Use the record you kept during installation. Restore the original file or directory from your backup, or remove only additions that the mod identifies as its own. There is no universal uninstaller documented for these workflows, so avoid deleting a whole game folder based on guesswork.

Find a conflict
If a problem begins after installing a mod, restore or remove that mod’s identified files first, then launch the game again. Changing one mod at a time makes it easier to narrow down a cause. The cited sources do not provide controlled compatibility or performance testing, so this process cannot guarantee a fix.
Verify game files cautiously
A current entry in the Nexus catalog recommends verifying game files when existing mods might interfere with a new mod. Verification can restore changed game files and may remove manually installed modifications. Back up modded files before using your platform’s verification option; the cited recommendation does not establish exactly how verification behaves on every platform.

Do not assume a general-purpose manager supports the game
Mod Organizer 2’s executable documentation says programs must be launched through MO2 for its virtual file system to apply. That documentation does not establish Arkham Knight support, so it is not enough to recommend MO2 as a confirmed manager for this game.

- Does the mod require BmSDK, Resorep, another dependency, or a specific game version?
- Does its page specify a destination that differs from a commonly used folder?
- Could it overwrite files already changed by another mod?
- Can you identify exactly which files to restore if it causes a problem?
Instructions and compatibility can change as mod pages and framework releases are updated. Recheck the individual mod page and the relevant tool’s current instructions before installation.
