Raven Rock is announced Fallout 76 content, not a location with a confirmed route on the currently playable map. Bethesda says the map will expand toward the Capital Wasteland in 2027, but it has not announced Raven Rock’s entrance or the steps needed to reach it.
Where is Raven Rock in Fallout 76?
Bethesda describes the upcoming area as a map expansion toward the Capital Wasteland, in the game’s southeast. Its September 30, 2026 Letter from the Directors says a “cold war heats up in the southeast” between two Enclave operators, and that the map will expand “towards the Capital Wasteland.” The letter does not provide an exact map marker or Raven Rock entrance.
That means Fallout 3’s Raven Rock location should not be treated as a place you can currently travel to in Fallout 76. Bethesda presents this as forthcoming content, not a currently available destination.
When is Raven Rock coming to Fallout 76?
Bethesda’s letter says the Raven Rock content is “Coming next year.” As of October 4, 2026, that means 2027. The announcement does not give a month, season, or specific release date. Bethesda describes the story as taking place almost 200 years before the events of Fallout 3.

How do you get to Raven Rock?
There are no Raven Rock-specific directions yet. Bethesda has not announced an entry point, quest prerequisites, map boundaries, or whether Raven Rock will have any special fast-travel rules.
Once the expansion is available, check the in-game map and Bethesda’s update notes for its entrance and any requirements. Fallout 76’s general discovery and fast-travel system may then be relevant: Bethesda’s newcomer guide says discovered locations appear on the map and can be fast-traveled to for Caps. It also recommends using maps in train stations and lookout towers to reveal nearby points of interest. These are general travel mechanics, not confirmed instructions for reaching Raven Rock.
