Check the benefit label first, then confirm the game in the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Plus area while signed into the account and region you use. “Included with PS Plus” can mean a Monthly Game, a Game Catalog or Classics Catalog title, or a game trial—and each has different tier and availability rules.
Which PS Plus benefit does the claim refer to?
Sony’s US membership pages list different benefits by tier. Extra includes Essential benefits, and Premium includes Essential and Extra benefits. Use this guide to identify which plan can provide the game:

How to check the game on your PlayStation
Use the account that has the PS Plus membership you intend to use. Navigate to the relevant benefit section and select the game to see the current access option.

On PS5
- From the Games home screen, open PlayStation Plus.
- Go to Benefits, then choose Monthly Games or Game Catalog, depending on the claim.
- Select the title and check the displayed eligibility or download option.
On PS4
- From the function screen, open PlayStation Plus.
- Select Monthly Games or Game Catalog, depending on the claim.
- Select the title and check the available access or download option.
Sony’s support guides describe these console paths and note that downloading a Game Catalog title requires the corresponding membership plan. If you are away from your console, Sony says you can select a monthly game for remote download through a web browser or the PlayStation App. Make sure the browser or app is signed into the same account. A Monthly Game and a Game Catalog title are separate entitlements. Sony says Monthly Games can be added to your library and played while your membership remains active. If you did not add a Monthly Game during its claim period, finding it in an old promotion does not establish that it is now available to claim.

Catalog access depends on the title still being offered. Sony notes that some catalog games have an end date and are removed from the service. Check the signed-in catalog at the time you want to play rather than relying only on an older list or announcement. See Sony’s PS Plus membership support page.

Why a game claim and your account may not match
- The benefit requires a higher tier: A claim may describe Game Catalog access, while an Essential account does not include that catalog.
- You missed the Monthly Game claim window: The game may have been available to add during a past period but was not added to your library then.
- The catalog listing ended: A Game Catalog or Classics Catalog title may have reached its removal date.
- You are checking another account: Confirm that the console, app, or browser is signed into the account associated with your membership.
- The region differs: A claim or catalog page for one country does not by itself establish availability in another country’s Store. Sony’s cited pages are for the US; use the signed-in local Store view to confirm your region’s listing.
A quick verification sequence
- Identify the exact benefit named in the claim: Monthly Game, Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, or trial.
- Check the tier on the PlayStation account you will use, and compare it with the benefit’s eligible tiers.
- Open the matching section in the signed-in PlayStation Plus experience, or use Sony’s browser or app route for a monthly game.
- For a Monthly Game, confirm it was added during its claim period. For a catalog title or trial, confirm it is still listed now.
- If the result conflicts with the claim, verify the account and local Store region before relying on the claim.
